I'm thinking of changing my Asus X102BA and was wondering if there were any recommendations.

I only use it when travelling, so small screen (I currently have 10"). Needs to have Windows 10 (preferably Pro, as I am looking for encryption).

    Budget in region of €500

this for 430 is bigger but light 1.3kg and not as big as you think as the screen bezels (area around screen are thin)

as a bonus it has a premium metal build and great quality ips screen and ssd drive, huge battery life and a decent cpu

there was a deal on the surface go 8gb version which is gone now so that with the keyboard attachment would above your budget but you could take a look at that.

I'd take a look at that acer - it's light and small enough to travel with and has a great build quality

for windows pro you'd have to buy a cheap licence key on ebay. pro is not sold with any laptop really - maybe a high-end 1500 to 2000 euro ultrabook but even then there is little demand for it as it's primarily a corporate product.

    Thanks glasso.

Do you know if the Windows 10 Pro is transferrable to another PC? As far as I can remember, I bought it as an upgrade after I purchased the Asus.

other than the acer there are decent smaller (e.g. 11.6 inch) options but they mainly come from chinese companies

take a look at this site

    https://techtablets.com/recommended-chinese-notebooks-brands/

but you're going to have to order from HK / China like gearbest or banggood

you'd want to look for a n4100 chip minimum and ssd

a lot of the time there is some compromise like battery life etc. there are some decent ones tho.

still take a look at that acer swift 1 - the weight is light enough imo for travelling - just

otherwise the surface go fits your bill perfectly as it's 10 inch and more importantly the keyboard attachment is good as a lot of the time 10 and 11 inch laptops are a nightmare to type on.
