The general advice is to talk to your bank before you get into arrears to see if you can re-organise your mortgage repayments, apply for a moratorium or interest only payments. Sometimes this proactive stance can give you a mental breather to get the rest of your ducks in a row.

Keeping your head in good health is also important, people can get very stressed out & often do not feel that they can talk to friends or family, choosing to carry the strain of the financial hardship themselves.

LiquoriceIcecream

Hey,

House hunting in Ireland at the moment is brutal — by the time you see a listing
it's already gone. I built a free Chrome extension called RentPulse that monitors
Daft.ie, MyHome.ie, Rent.ie and a few others in the background and sends you a
browser notification within 60 seconds of a new listing matching your filters.

No account needed, no sign-up, just set your location and budget and click activate.

It's completely free (there's a pro tier for faster checks and scam detection but
the free version works well).

You can get it here:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/rentpulse/fdnhmpfmjgophiliblfkenlkaplcmmmf

Or the website: https://www.rentpulse.ie
