Monthly order

macken04

Hi all,

For 2017 I am looking to put a monthly order in with a different roaster from around the world. The only issue with doing this on very small lots is the delivery. Would there be interest from fellow bordies to do a larger order to negate delivery? Also, might need to keep within the EU due to import taxes, but can review in more detail if this is a runner.

Happy to bare the brunt of the work and get an option up for vote first week of the month with all ready to order in the second week.

Cheers
Dave

Not at all.

Will be at least until next week before we put the order in. The more the better.

rollout

I'll get in on this too.

Great news - I've mailed, but nothing back. Will chase again today

flangemeistro

Throw me down aswel please as one of the outside of the Pale deliveries.

macken04

Hi all,

After three emails to the roster I still have no reply.

I will try one last time today, and if nothing back, move onto another.

Sorry for the delay

wouldn't bother with another mail excerpt to say you didn't want our business ,we've given it to someone else!

Waesfjord

I'll be interested in any bulk buy going forward. Will follow thread with anticipation:)

macken04

Right so,

Finally got a response - we have been offered 5% bulk discount. Not he best I've every heard, but I'm happy to move forward if the majority are also.

I'll set up a google doc with their stock this weekend and get an idea of when they roast so we get decent stock in from them. All in all, we should be in a place to order before then end of the month.

I'll put an option in also if people need stuff ground and I can sort it at home provided it won't be huge amounts.

mraie

I would be interested too, living in cork city

Just wondering if there's been any action on this. I'm off work for a while so had a bit of time on my hands so put together a google doc detailing Five Elephants current coffees, hope you don't mind Macken.

thanks..my order is up!

Do they sell IntraVenous Drip kits ?:D

Richard Roma

I'd be well on for that too.
Can anyone recommend a filter coffee from that list?
My main criteria is that I don't like acidity.

Sorry all - I've been pulled over to London last minute for work for the past two weeks.

Any issue with me amending the order to have a running total?

macken04

Updated mine there. Added in a running total and a column for if it needs to be ground etc.

Sorry again for being MIA.

flangemeistro

Added my order to the Doc. Thanks.
What's the situation with money?
How many here are revolut users?
It would be quicker than PayPal if it suits whoever is paying?

I'm on that and circle - but still find actually bank tranfsfare just as easy, if all on same bank.

Revolt haven't sent my card out yet though. Useless!!!

I'll pay the first order through, so once we get the total in, I will send on (by text) different bank details etc.

None whatsoever.

Hope your getting to visit some of London's finest coffee shops

raytaxi

Added to sheet there just let me know where to send the money. Thanks

Would it be worth asking the mods to sticky this thread for a bit. Also, might be an idea to add a closing date to the title.

ArcticFox

Hope you haven't ordered yet - I'd love to be part of this (Dublin based).

I've filled out my order on the spreadsheet anyway.

No, not ordered yet.

macken04

Morning all,

I am going to set a deadline of Sunday midnight. On Monday I will PM everyone bank details, total cost and put the order in.

For anyone who needs their coffee ground, just let me know for what brew method and I can make sure that is done, either by the roaster or I can sort.

flangemeistro

Bank transfer only or PayPal also?

macken04

Happy with either, haven't used PayPal in the last two years, but I believe there used to be fee's for sending direct.
