GAA Players Stats

I was just looking up some of the WC stats there and it just got me wondering about GAA player stats - in particular fitness stats.


I know nearly all the top counties now have GPS stuff to give stats at training and matches I would assume this info is top secret but I would love to see it just to see how it compares.

For example what distance would MD MacAuley be covering in a game?

I'd say Jim Gavin has that kind of information locked up safer than all the gold in Fort Knox.

If you are into that kind of stuff, have a look at Ray Boyne's Twitter account @AnalysisGAA. He was Jim Gavin's stat man last year. He has stepped down this year, but he still keeps an active interest in sports stats and posts some interesting stuff from time to time.

On a related topic, anybody know of a site to get details of appearances and scorers, not just say for this year but historical over previous seasons? For example, how would you find out total number of appearances and scorers for Cluxton, Brogan etc?
