Just finished watching it. What a load of ****e. Regardless of the tiny possibility that there may be some small side effect in the future for maybe a handful of people, it is still an alternative to SMOKING. I mean they want it to be banned until further tests are done over a longer period of time?

If that's the way they want it they should ban real cigarettes altogether, as we are 100% aware of the negative effects. It makes no sense.

This isn't about sense, it another moral panic like video nasties and GTA panic.
Show did what all shows do, play on fear and desire. Fear of the new and the desire to quit.
Shame the WHO are taken so seriously and the BMA for that matter. Remember that the BMA are not a scientific or medical body, their a doctors trade union, no different than SIPTU, would we ask them about the safety of the new Ford car? After all, their members are in the transport industry.
As to the WHO what have they done since the smallpox vaccination? Promote bad science and flog bird flu panic. The WHO has been captured by the pharma companies and serves to serve them mostly. As ecigs came after their infamous framework for tobacco control, they cant seem to realize that the game has changed.

And wasn't it the french doctors that stopped the ban a few months ago, for the most part
They said it's better than cigarettes! Or
    Something to that effect?

    EDIT :sorry delayed it.

Only caught the end of it. It seemed like an awful bit of scaremongering.

Here's a report from Euro news, a good example of how the subject should be covered.
