Preseason Thread

padraig_f

Thought it might be useful to have a general preseason thread. I see Sanchez has thrown a pick-6 already.

Bucs D stepped up big time late on in that play.

Must have faced 8 plays inside the 15 and Dolphins had to be happy with a FG.

With Revis back some of those Wallace catches might not have happened. Big difference between Leonard Johnson and Revis :P

Hopefully Freeman gets his ass in gear and we see less of the Jekyll and Hyde Freeman

Y (not wide!!!) banana just led to an interception there on the 3 yard line anyway!!

Edit: actually it wasn't quite that on second viewing!

Always thought Gruden was a bit of a dick to him over that.

"Hey lets focus on your biggest fcuk up of the season for half the show."

I wouldn't complain, if it had any effect on him in his road to 11-5 last year then Gruden did him and the Colts a favour.

I don't think Gruden imparts a huge amount of coaching on those guys. It's just interesting TV. Gruden's a TV man now. If the Venus is open, Luck will still throw the Venus on Spider 3 Y banana. He'll just be more careful next time.

The big lesson was doing it late in the game in a 3OT thriller against a conference rival.

Giants still shit in the red zone.

The Showstopper

Same old story with the Giants not able to put the ball in the endzone. Poor return from 3 picks.

raven136

Geno...different name on the Jersey but same awful qb play
Jets d has been very good since giving up that early td.

DDC1990

Freeman not looking like a guy playing for his contract.

Mike Glennon could be starter by Week 6 at this stage.

Freeman was gonna be my underachieving player in the predictions thread!

He fumbled 40 seconds into a 2 minute drill situation at the end of the half, under no pressure turning the ball over, letting the Dolphins score before half-time. He's had constant over-throws, and generally been terrible.

Hugely disappointing from one of my favourite players. Everything about him screams superstar, he has the height, can make every throw, can scramble, threw for 27 TD's last year and over 4,000 yards.

But when it comes to pressure situations, aside from 2010 when he was clutch, he's fallen to pieces. The pressure now, is coming from the fact that he's not playing well and has Glennon breathing down his neck. He needs a psychologist (like Necessary Roughness!)

helimachoptor

Titans kicking ass!

raven136

Im not sure whether to laugh or cry about the Jets
geno throws 3ints then Sanchez comes in and injures his shoulder

BKWDR

Jets bossing...scarleh for Giants

Cardinals think they are playing Madden. Crazy play on the goal line.

Paully D

Anyone see Rex Ryan's post match press conference last night? I think it's all got a bit too much for him there to be honest. He really needs a fresh start somewhere else.

Would you hire him?

I'd have him as defensive co-ordinator in a heart beat

As a defensive co-ordinator, without hesitation. As a head coach, probably.

2 AFC Championship games in four years is pretty impressive. I just think he needs a fresh start.

BKWDR

Thank god for Sunday normal hours games! Texans V Saints

Also quick question, on Gamepass, does the redzone only work on regular season?

mikemac1

Yep, there is no redzone for pre-season

[Deleted User]

Would his ego let him be a d coordinator again he's one of the best but I wouldn't touch him as a hc personally

davyjose

R Griffin threw a QB for the Saints... it was Ryan Griffin. The interesting part: there's a Ryan Griffin playing for Houston too.

2 Ryan Griffin's playing against one another.

Like you, I would also pass on offering him a HC position.

mikemac1

He won't be coming back to Baltimore anyway!

And tbh the defense looked better then ever under Pagano with less talent then Ryan had

Was gonna ask the question, and Baltimore fans would know best. How good a DC was he really? Hes always had talented personell. His brother is overrated for sure.
