Aldi are selling hydration packs for €15 this week, haven't seen them myself so not sure what quality they are, and the colours are not great, but might be useful for someone.

Colour is cat but there's always the option of a bottle die. 15 bucks ain't bad even just for the bladder itself.
Might see if I can pick up one.

You could always spray the pack with krylon paint?:D

By the looks of it, the tube is not insulated. What that means is that in warm weather/sunshine, any water that is in the tube itself before you drink it is going to be warm, not cold. Unless you drink enough at a go to clear the tube and draw more from the bladder itself. You may not think this a big deal now, but when you're sweating your arse off, the last thing you'll feel like wanting is warm water.

I speak from experience of using an el-cheapo hydration bladder (until I changed my webbing). IMO, investing in a camelbak is well worth the money.

Anyway, just a practical matter to consider.

As Lemming said, Camelbacks are the best!
I have been using one for the past 3 and half years.
The insulated drinking tube makes a huge difference.

You'll need a neoprene sleeve to insulate the tube. Camo-tape just wont do the job effectively. Briefly perhaps, but not for long.

Well, its thick tape  In any case, I'm constantly drinking from mine when I wear it, doesnt get much of a chance to heat :D

My mistake for bothering to make a practical suggestion. I'll withdraw it.

The bladder in my current camelbak so it's more the bladder I'm after. Though it's only an extra fiver for an original replacement now that I think of it.

Tbh i found myself with one of these the first time they came out
    there crap
i also have the platypus hydration kit which is a whole lot better which in this case a platypuss is only a fiver extra.
anyone buying should always keep an eye on where the hose connects with the bladder if it connects on the main body not the corner i would advoid it. because what ever you put it in tends to build up in the corners if its not rinsed out properly

so its worth while paying the extra fiver for a decent one with the hose connected in the corner, like a platypuss
