    Hi folks,

anyone know of any shops ( bricks & mortar or online) in Ireland selling 36v 4 core motor cable?

I've seen it advertised from UK sites, but due to the weight of the cable the postage might end up as, if not more expensive than the cable!
    Thanks.

    Cat 5??? Really?

Wouldn't have thought that the cable thickness would have been sufficent for driving a 36v jack arm?
That would lower the cost considerably if that's the case...
    Thanks.

    Anyone else agree?

    Absolutely not Cat5.

    3 x louspeaker wire!

You'll get 4 core heavy duty (and 6 core) from any Electrical wholesale. 3 phase Electric uses 4 core. You want 5A to avoid significant voltage drop.

Even paralleling each pair to half the resistance Cat5 is too flimsy.

    Cheers Watty,

I ended up going with 4 core 2.5 flex from local electrical shop...
