My girlfriends birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. We have being going out since before easter. I don't know what to but here. I was think of a baracelot, but I would need her there to make sure it fits. Anyone any ideas?

Sorry if this is the wrong board.

Bracelets come in two lengths, 7 inch (standard) or 8 inch for larger wrists. So no probs for you there. Seeing as I dont know your girlfriends age or taste, or your budget, cant help you more. Best thing to do is buy something you think is nice, but keep the receipt and tell her she can exchange it if shes not keen.

I have a €145. I want to get her name engraved onto it. How much roughly would this cost along with a desent bracelet?

Im a little out of touch, pricewise, but I do know that buying a bracelet with a nameplate means you are buying a solid piece of metal in the middle, which adds to weight and therefore, price, esp in gold. You can get hollow name plates but beware, these dent easily, and are even tricky enough to engrave. So you may not get something very heavy or strong in gold, so if you want something heavy and decent maybe buy a silver one. There are some gorgeous designs out there in silver right now, cos its really fashionable. A decent shop shouldnt charge you much for the engraving if you are buying the bracelet from them.

be careful thought alot of girls dont like gold bracelets.. what about newbridge stuff, that is so pretty and isnt that costly either...
you could get her a few wee bits and pieces with over 100 euro instead of spending it on one bracelet
i know thats what i would love anyway!

theres a great engraver in the powerscourt townhouse center, think he's around 15-20 euro. definitly worth it, much better then those engraving stands that use lazers.

on the other hand u could get a nice 'dior' braclet in arnots if your gf like the designer stuff, prob set you back around 130+
