Tho i guess eating too much of one type of food is bad for you anyway but still, shocking. If Fast Food Nation can't turn me off fast food then that article sure as hell wont tho :p

thats fairly dirty really isn't, presuming he ate a "varied" diet in there. Still though what do you expect, my take on it is, €7 to get a full stomach, however temporary, in McD's. €10 to get a main course in a restaurant somewhere close by. there's no thinking needed there.

I am delighted that man has done what he did. I sincerely hope his film/documentary is shown far and wide.

While we are on the subject of "Fast foods" I have no hesitation in suggesting that you should read the following two paperbacks cover to cover in full and in sequence.

First; Slim 4 Life by Jason Vale £8.99p. I got mine from: www.amazon.co.uk
Second; The Juice Master's, Ultimate Fast Food, by Jason Vale. Also available from Amazon.

You will see they are both by the same author; Jason Vale; He has his own website at; www.thejuicemaster.com

Well worth a visit, if you like fast food, and wish to be healthy and fit naturally, and without effort !.

    Just my 2cs worth.

It's all to do with genetics. For about 5 years in my late teens/early twenties I ate vast quantities of junk food. My diet consisted of mainly of battered sausages, half-pounders, quarter-pounders, chips, crisps, coke, ice cream, chocolate, sweets etc. I'd have at least one junk food meal a day. Often, it'd be two junk food meals a day. Eg I might have a 1/4 pounder and chips for lunch and a snack box for dinner and would be snacking on other junk throughout the day. Also did no exercise whatsoever.

What effect did all of this have? Umm...not much. I didn't have greasy skin. I was never sick with colds, flus or stomach upsets. I had lots of energy. And I never put on any weight and remained a skinny 9.5 stone @ 5'9"

Eventually I decided that continuing with this diet could see me in an early grave. So now I eat healthily and take regular exercise. Have had myself checked out and I'm in good health and reasonably fit. I still eat junk occasionally but find the thought of having it every day is horrifying to me now.

Buy a litre of milk, go to a real chipper where they use potatoes - you will feel full on €3.

Had another look at the story, seems a bit dubious to me. It claims that he put on 25 pounds in just 30 days. Assuming that all of the extra weight was fat not muscle, that means that his body gained nearly 400 g of PURE FAT every single day. I find this hard to believe. Not an expert on diet though, so what do I know :)

    Ronaldo 7,

Quote you; " It really makes me nervous when I see bugger and boy in the same sentence ". " Do you like Michael Jackson too ? :dunno: ". End quotes.

Michael Jackson has not been found guilty of anything !. You would be well advised to stay on topic, unless you are privy to some inside information that I am not aware of or you have a desire to be sued for libel ?..
