Another bloody stickie! If you spot a classic and take a shot please put it here rather than start a fresh thread.

I'll start, I spotted this Lotus Elan parked in Catherine Street here in Waterford. Had'nt seen it before. Today I also saw 2 Silver Clouds, and 2 Jenson Interceptors but they were moving and so was I :D

No, Looks like a Wolsley to me. Check out the grill. That little badge lights up with the headlights.

Thats a Wolsley 16/60 - my favourite is the Wolsley 6/110 which I was seriously considering buying before I went for the Daimler.

The 6/110 is extremely rare - whereas the 16/60 is quite common as a classic (in Uk at least) :)

Just on my way up the sliproad for Blanchardstown this morming off the notorious M50, and I spotted a lovely 76 D reg KE30 corolla coupe. A big ugly VW Toureag blocked my view before I could reach for the camera :( Has anyone seen this machine about before?

Jason, was it metallic green ? There's one such car in the Clonsilla area.

(to digress: have also seen a *huge* 70's American sedan out this direction. Don't know what it is - dark green in colour. At the same house there's usually a big, blue Ford pickup - American again. Amazing stuff)

John, it was actually a red car, but it's making me glad that you know of another one in Clonsilla also. I had to double - check what it was, thought at first it was a Datsun :)

Okay so maybe not a classic yet - but the Maserati Quattroporte I followed home yesterday might be one day!
(Not wise I know taking a picture while driving up the rear of a €150K + car )

I think that Bono's. I imagine he was drooling in his rear-view mirror :)

Love the spots on the wheel, Atheist.

He turned into a filling station after I tailed him for a bit - possibly to get away from the tailgating nutter with 33yr old brakes!

And oh yeah I love steering wheels with rivits!

Here's some classics from the king of Monaco's collection.
The 1950 wine soft top is a Cisitalia.
That seems to be where Nissan knocked off the over priced 90/91 {micra}Figaro. The green Renault Coupe is my fave. That was Princess Grace's.

By the looks of them I wouldn't think he drives 'em too much. ;)

At least it looks like he has a garage.

Crappy pictures of a Porsche 356 cabriolet. Nice car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 827 ✭✭✭PaulK_CCI

I think I know that car.

If it was rhd with an original Irish reg as opposed to a zv plate, it's a unique original and still ONE (!!!) family owned Porsche 356 Convertible in very good, nicely patinated condition. Seen it around at the Porsche specialist servicing the car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,031 ✭✭✭Silvera

The 356 seems to have a 'GB' sticker/chrome letters on the rear bumper ?

    Some photos of classics;

Well this would have been a classic someday, unfortunatly the elements got to it first. This Mk5 has been sitting outside a junkyard on the Swords Road for, well I lived in Swords 6 years ago and it was there then. Back then of course it looked a lot better,it always surprised me that no ever bought it when it was good..ish.
