Just put one up - http://danielbrierton.ie/files/meteor.mobileconfig

Ahh, I thought a .mobileconfig contained all the info in
    General>Network>Cellular Data Network
    Silly Me!!

Thanks A Million for the link to your .mobileconfig tho!

Also, I was rooting around the .plists for your Carrier Bundle and I have a question for you/others:

You know the PIN services (General>Phone>Meteor Services) that you included for Meteor PAYG customers, are there any such services (*#100# etc.) for BillPay Customers that could be put in their place?

    I haven't a clue... I'm a PAYG customer, so I don't know anything about bill pay.. Sorry

I haven't actually tested the carrier bundle yet. It seems to work on the 3G though according to neonman... I'll try it out on my 2G tomorrow when I'm back in Ireland

Hey, any joy with the testing??

Hmmm... I'm not sure now... Your settings should look like this:

I tested MMS with my settings and the ActivateMMS2G patch, and I too can confirm MMS works with those settings (when you change the Max Message Size to 307200

There's a bug on the 2G (related to the patch) with the MMS APN settings disappearing. I can create a Vodafone carrier bundle for you know if you want, and you can follow my instructions for Meteor from earlier in the thread

EDIT: Just realised, I could create a mobile config for the APNs.
    Here you go: http://danielbrierton.ie/files/vodafone.mobileconfig
Just go to that URL on your iPhone and install the profile, then fill in the rest of the MMS Settings as

    MMSC: http://www.vodafone.ie/mms
    MMS Proxy: 10.24.59.200:80
    MMS Max message Size: 307200

Or alternatively use the carrier bundle from http://danielbrierton.ie/files/VodafoneiPhoneCarrierBundle.zip

    Hi,

I have an iPhone 2g, unlocked and jailbroken and on the prepaid Meteor network. I have followed the instructions mentioned throughout the post on how to activate MMS on my phone but it just won't work. Here is what I have been doing:

    1) Downloaded popple3's carrier bundle and followed the screenies he provided (including reboot)
    2) I then go into my cellular data network, hit reset ( i then see all of the required info) and then reboot again.
    3) Download the Activatemms2g package from cydia and then reboot.

I have all the necessary settings and I have the MMS icon in my messages but I cannot send or receive them?

Please help its driving me insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you :(

    Hi Popple3

Thanks very much for your link. I installed it but unfortunatly the MMS APN settings still wont save, i.e the APN, usermane & password remain blank.

    Thanks again for your help

    Hi Guys
After hours upon hours nearly weeks of searching, I have found a site that delivers clear & to the point instructions on how to get mms working on your 2G iphone. I have no affiliation with this site what so ever I found it while trying to enable mms for my own phone & so far it seems to work I have sent & recieved 2 messages to myself. So here it is I hope it works out for you as it has for me. http://news.metaparadigma.de/?p=2404

P.S. follow the instruction to every detail.
P.P.S. when its sending the mms, as the progress line moves accross it pauses briefly then continues to send so Be patient.

    Happy txting :D

This thing drains the battery in about a day - I installed it on two 2G's and they need to be charged every night.

Here's a mobileconnect file that enables tethering if you stick a Meteor Broadband sim in your iPhone (the ones that come with the dongle). Just download it from safari in your iphone and you should be good to go!

Lads I followed the instructions and everything worked, but when I add a photo and try to send it it gets to about 80% and then waits and then fails :( Little red exclamation points beside the picture and the text.

    Any suggestions?

I have a 16g iphone 3g jailbroken and unlocked and this works perfect for me.
I do sometimes get the red line that message fails but not often.
I suggest follow my setting and you shouldn't have a problem.

    Cheers

I tried it with those settings, as well as settings that someone posted earlier, and getting the same result :(

I thought it might have been that MMS wasn't activated for my number, so I tried my sim card in another phone, and I was able to send MMS from that !

    Any other suggestions?

Turn your phone off then back on and go into settings-messages and turn mms on. Have you done that?
MMS are also not included in free txt's to any network bundle.
A lot of people think they are so make sure you have credit also.
    Hope you get it sorted.
Don't really know why its not working for you.
My settings seem to work fine.

No MMS for original iPhone. You can manually input the settings on the 3G/3GS methinks.
Once I'm on 3.1 I'll have a look at the carrier bundles. They may have simply changed certain data in them, that needs to be changed in the custom bundle.
Should have 3.1 installed this weekend

That SHOULD work to get the APNs in, then enter the rest of the MMS settings as:

Also, to everyone, I've attached an updated Meteor Carrier Bundle, so you don't have to change the Max Message Size after. Nothing much really, just means it should work from as soon as you hit Reset Settings
Hey, thanks for the carrier file, my iphone 2g OS 3.0 is now working with MMS and internet browsing on PAYG.
However, I still dont have the option to turn tethering on or off in the settings->general->network menu. Does anybody know how to turn on this option so that i can use tethering on the EDGE network?

    Hi Guys,

This is very frustrating...I was having the exact same problem.
I am running iphone 3.0, just jailbreaked but mms is failing to send
After you enter all of the mms settings ...yes they are correct.

When you restart and try to send a couple of mms it still fails, until after 5 minutes you recieve a message from meteor to say your now equipped to send mms to meteor o2 vodafone etc..

    Still though...very annoying

Hey yall, I finally got mms and data working on the meteor 2g 3.1 iphone. As far asi can make out, tethering only works on the 3.0 firmware and not the 3.12 as of yet. However, as someone mentioned earlier on, the battery drains in about a day. So i restored the phone back to normal and i think il leave it. :-(

I have an iphone 3g, originally an o2 billpay phone, I jailbroke and unlocked months ago to use my phone on the Meteor network, I've recently updated to 3.1.2 using blackra1n. I really hoped I would now have the ability to send/receive MMSs and have 3g network coverage. Is there anyone in the same situation who could tell me their settings that are giving them both 3g and MMS capability?? It's so frustrating not having these, considering how deadly the phone is!
