Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. After yesterdays let down by Holland I will have a BTS today.

    Spain - Italy BTS "NO" @ 8/13
    Ireland -Croatia BTS " YES" @ 6/5
Works out to about 3.5/1 for the double.

I've put money on a straight "Spain to win" bet.

Ergo, I advise everyone to back Italy or Draw :pac:

One bet for me today, a cards bet. Look at the guy who is reffing the Ireland game...

    BEU1K.jpg

Check on his old games before that on Soccerway (http://www.soccerway.com/referees/bjorn-kuipers/44867/), it just gets worse, and worse, and worse...

In fact, based on his last 20 games, he has an average of 44 card points (800+ points overall)

In Ireland and Croatia's last 20 matches, both have had a fair few cards too (Ireland 14 in last 10, Croatia 20 in last 10). The team they have played against have got a far few card too (teams vs Ireland 16 [2 red] in last 10, teams vs Croatia 24 [1 red]).

One bad stat is that in the last Croatia/Ireland H2H there was only 2 yellow cards given, although the ref in that was not card crazy.

On more stat, there has already been 10 yellows and 2 reds given in the four Euro 2012 matches so far.

Not really sure what is the best bet to make, but...

    Over 40 Points @ 1.67
    Over 50 Points @ 2.30
    Over 60 Points @ 3.40

...all a have a chance. Likely to go with the underlined one myself.

    Andrews to be booked @11/4

    (No explanation neccessary)

Just noticed Paddy Power are doing a Red Card market

Red Card in First Half @ 12.00
Both teams to have a red card @ 26.00

    €5 on both of those

    Working for me.

Although I had to sign in twice when trying to (15 minutes ago), so maybe loads of people are betting on the match today and casing issues

    why no explanation neccessary?
andrews got NO card in qualifing.
surely dunne(4 cards) st ledger(3 cards) or doyle(2 yellow and a red) and the player with more fouls committed in qualifing than any of qualifing nations are more obvious.
also i expect doyle will be asked to do lots of donkey work around midfield

Backed a Spain win at 4/5. Under 1.5 goals looks good at 13/8

Casillas; Arbeloa, Piqué, Ramos, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Alonso, Xavi; Silva, Iniesta & Cesc Fábregas

lol I was thinking the exact same thing

I see no regular peno taker for Spain our club out there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

I know Alonso likes taking penalties, he took one in the CL final in 09 and I remember he had a bit of an argument with Ronaldo because he wanted to take one a couple of years ago.

It could be anyone really but I'd fancy Alonso to step up.

Tenner on De Rossi to be booked @ 6/4.

Hi guys not sure if it's been pointed out already but David Silva could be worth a punt a FGS tonight (7/1 pp). He is my dark horse for top scorer in the tournament. Was second highest goal scorer for Spain in the qualifiers after Villa and also has 3 goals in Spains last 5 matches. I think he is going to be the focal point of the attack now with the lack of strikers!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

I have a crazy urge to put €5 on Busquets as an Anytime Scorer @ 14/1 - even though all stats say no (he has not scored a goal in 39 National appearances, and had only 1 Goal for Spain U21).

    Damn urges!

I love how I started with one bet today, and now I have 4 going :P

    Too late!

Looking at the formation, Italy are playing very tight at the back, so maybe (big maybe) he'll get a sloppy goal in.

PS: I know I am stupid/crazy with this

1 out of 1 so far on my bets for Euro 2012.

Just going for a Spain win now at 3/4

Blargh. I've pretty much wiped myself out with that draw now :(
Have 1€ left in my account and a 125-1 bet on Richard Dunne scoring/1-0 win...

    My Ireland/Croatia Bets:

    €10 Cards: Over 50 Points @ 2.30
€5 Red Card in First Half @ 12.00
€5 Both teams to have a red card @ 26.00

All based soley on the ref's crazy history. He was not afraid of Red's at all.

I'm hardly going to explain when I've said it's not neccessary. :p

Ok, You cited a small sample of matches, but he does give away cards. Was likely to be keeping tabs on Modric a lot. Ref is card happy. Ireland's defensive style lends itself to picking up yellows. Better value than other names you mentioned.

    Anyway, 1 yellow in 1st half - - - -to Andrews.

whos backing the french tonight?? 6/4 was a nice price but its going fast!!!

can't see england doing much here at all

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

Personally I wouldn't go near the England/France game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Hamadeusentman

While I think France will win I fancy Ashley Young to score. He's 4/1 anytime scorer with PP. Will do a single of this and put it in a double with Ibra anytime who is 21/10.

PS - rumour on Twitter that Oxlade-Chamberlain is starting tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 225 ✭✭razor425

Any opinions on the Dutch to qualify?? Just can't make up my mind on them - currently 5/2 to qualify. The loss against Denmark could me a major problem as if both teams finish on 4 points as seems quite likely at the moment Denmark qualify.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Imo Sweden @ 9/5 is a monster price for them, Ukraine havent played a competitive game in ages, got beat by Turkey last week and in all honesty aren't that good anyway!

Sweden are a solid team, should have too much for them and I can't turn down 9/5
