I like the 406 coupe but the interior in that one is awful!! I presume that's why it has been for sale for a while.

Original Subaru Impreza for under 2k - that's a lot of car for the money. My mate used to have one, I loved it. I'd be tempted at one of these myself.

I have to say I like those 406 coupes, although the interior on that one isnt great. If you got a bit off these ones, could be a good deal

Don't think two coupes have all the toys (no mention of cruise control or traction control) which the blue one has and for less money. Assuming they're in similar condition the blue one is the one to go for, if only it had the black leather interior instead.

    I'm still tempted, mind....

I think i'll go to see it.

Just ran a motorcheck report and car had 135000 miles on the clock back in 2007, now saying 120000.
    10 owners in total.
    I was getting really excited.
    Feel sorry for myself now.

If anybody wants to see mywheels and motorcheck reports for this car, let me know and I cand send you link to email.

Seen a twin turbo supercharged Ford Sierra with also nitrous which gives the car an extra 150hp on donedeal.
That thing must be quick...looks genuine to me, but is quiet horrible to look at.

    Sorry dont have the link.

Two turbos and a supercharger? Can't imagine it's genuine.

What an absolute minter of a car. Tax is worth about €1k so I think it's worthy of a place here. It's just so much car for the money...

    NCT Dec 12, 700

    Plus, it's a D8.5 or, a pre facelift with a HDi lump :)

    *I prefer the 1.9TD :pac:

That's a cracking looking E39 alright, but being a 530i, it'll be tough to sell on again in future. I reckon he'll struggle to sell anywhere near that price.

Even 530d's aren't selling for anything near what they were nowadays.

It's a real $hite state we're in in Ireland, when 8 months tax is considered a real bonus in a car deal :(

If that was manual and I got a few quid off I'd pick it up in the morning.

Not much wrong with the Steptronic box, especially with that engine.

Clean looking car, €550 asked, bargain a bit off and its the same cost as a night on the town after a Dubs match!! Handy car for a run around.

At that price I wouldn't really care about the selling on. If I could I'd drive it until the tax is up and then maybe see about shifting it on, it's a lovely car for the money.

    Buy it for maybe 2,500.

Take the cost of a 1.4's tax off it and you save maybe 500 euro over the course of the next year.

Realistic mpg? 20? Maybe 25 on a good day?

i would only buy that car if i was confident i could afford to waste my money purely on petrol, and with the view of getting maybe a grand to 1200 for it come March or April next year.

You'd get over 1500 for it next spring me thinks :)

On the assumption that the car is as clean as it looks in the pictures which, to be honest, the odds are against.

There are some folks out there who don't see running a 20mpg car as a waste of money, there are few enough 530i out there. Of course I'm assuming the pics are roughly representative of the condition.

6 months NCT and not 12 like advertised.
V6 is tempting but it is molested and mileage a bit strong. Still good value though....

A remapped 530d would make a lot more sense to be honest.

    ... not to someone who wants a 530i :)
The diesel love on here is sickening at times, fair enough if anyone needs or wants to run a diesel but lots of people are quite happy running petrol cars.
