Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It seems only one tournament is counted each week. What a terrible competition.

They were playing in the Malaysian open (I think) points were score in the heritage event in U.S.A. This weeks event is the China open.

The rules and tournaments are clearly listed. What a terrible competitor.

    Password anyone??

You're right, I should read the rules.

And you should probably buy the paper.

Going by the odds on Paddy Power, you can pick the six top favourites and have 2m left over. Hmmm... what to do...

I would prefer if they did not give triple points for the majors, and not just because i didn't have Bubba this week!! :pac:

People really in to their golf will pick and choose carefully for the smaller events, yet its almost impossible to catch the guys who pick the winner in a major. Picking the runner-up in a major gets more points than picking the winner in two smaller events where it is arguably more challenging to pick a winner than the majors where the cream is more likely to come to the top. Only my opinion, but there should be more incentive to choose carefully in the smaller tournaments.

Picking Oosthuizen yesterday is worth more points than getting the winner in the RBC Heritage and the China Open combined
yeah you are dead right , just have to make sure you are making progress every week , bit by bit .... also you can see other peoples teams before the week starts , that cant work, near the end of the competition...

Went for all the top priced golfers this week
Think they all went for appearance fees and not for golf
    Nil points

Thats 3 second place finishes for me in a row. Not wile impressed with this years structure. Everyone will have 3/4 same players every week

I've moved from 1085th after the Masters to 110th overall in the last 2 weeks. :D

Noel is still clinging onto the lead although he has not had a great score since the Masters. He is holding an 18pt lead going into the final event for the Monthly prize.

moved inside top 50 after sunday.good craic

  • Registered Users Posts: 525 ✭✭✭fluff_daddy

did you have a few 1st place finishes ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,867 ✭✭✭kn

The bonus tournaments are the one's that are going to determine the winner. I make out that there are 7 bonus tournaments (1/3rd of the total) that are giving points to the equivalent of 18 normal tournaments i.e. circa 60% of the total points for the competition.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17 bermo63

did you have a few 1st place finishes ?

only the 1st week had watson rest were a couple of top 20 finishes

yeah just seen your right, thats a load of balls really only way around it is to leave your team right to the last min which isnt ideal/if we all send an email to the organisers they might fix it what do yis think who runs it for them.

hopefully it will be rectified , my outsider this week is Richie Ramsay , would much prefer if it was the US tournament this week , probably wont make much difference to my score !!

Well you shouldn't have had him for this comp cause it was the euro tour for the last few weeks.

If you had him this week you would have got a big fat 0 anyway. It was the European Tour that counted. Switches back to the US this week though.

Yeah, I haven't bothered to change my team since The Heritage.

Had Dufner, Els, Donald, Davis and Gay on team!!

    Great!!!!!!!!!!
