Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We wish to use a couple of decommissioned rifles for props in a play, they have the firing pin removed so are inactive.
Wondering is there a legislation - i.e need an orange cap - or what is the story?
The play is at the Electric Picnic rather than on a stage, so don't want passing guards to give us a hard time

U will need a certificate from your local superintendent to state they are decommissioned.

The "orange cap" you are thinking of is an American law used to identify replica (airsoft) firearms, where they paint the muzzle of it bright orange.

As above you need authorisation from the local Super to have/own/use deactivated or decommissioned firearms.

There is a gun dealer up in Dublin who does all the arms for RTE TV shows ,films and theaters in Ireland. You might talk to him as he deals with this on a almost weekly basis.
