Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SKS Raceblades....possibly the worst ~€50 I've ever spent?

Just a quick one lads, anyone know where to get some methylated spirits? I used to have a 5l container that I bought years ago for the trangia but it's kinda empty now and I'll need some for the weekend camping.

I know you can get it in woodies and the like but it was 18 euros for a 2 litre container this afternoon. Anywhere cheaper?

First attempt at home made espresso: weak and cold. Not what I was expecting. Must try harder.

Try a vet supply store for the spirits.

Watching Amstel Gold '12 again today, (David) Harmon mentioned the similarity of Peter Sagan and Kelly. I think Kelly was a bit more complete as a rider (at the minute anyway, Sagan is still a bit heavier) but it really is a rather astute remark! Neither of them say that much, they're both hard as nails, and amazing talents. It made me giggle a bit anyway.

classic line from kelly when he tells his wife not to touch his car, she replies your car always come before me, kelly replies " that's not true, my bike comes first, then the car, then you"

This is true. But I think that that was a set up. Cyclists don't have groupies!

Fiddly things to get fitted, rear mudguard went on relatively ok, had to walk away from the bike after a half an hour of fiddling with the front, almost binned them. Have them on now, they're not bad once they're fitted....

I have spent the past week looking for mine - I know that they are in the house or the shed somewhere, but I dont know where. Driving me nuts at this stage. Three spins, three wet backsides.

I will probably find them for that dry day that we get in May.

Spotted this on Upper Abbey Street (Dublin) today. Looks like the vultures were busy... picked cleaner than a steer in the Mojave (sorry if it's yours)

2 hours on the trainer. I watched the 2011 Giro Di Lombardia, and for the last 3k, was Oliver Zaugg. Properly great race it was!

    Parker International

    http://www.parker-international.co.uk/13601/Transfil-Shimano-S-S-Road-Brakewire-Box-100.html £107 for 100

    http://www.parker-international.co.uk/13602/Transfil-Shimano-S-S-Gearwire-Box-100.html £90 for 100

postage would be £3.95 if you used Belfast/Parcel Motel. £12.99+ otherwise.

    were to start;

tom bonnens 2012 roubaix 50km break away

Georges of ag2r in stage 6 of California , seven man breakaway that went from the gun and then the last man standing at the final classified climb with 48km still to race.

keisse holding on despite a late fall and chain slip to win stage 7 in tour of turkey.

Pinot stage win in the tour de france this season

De Gendt going on long break away in Giro to take stage win and nearly put himself in pink.

Contadors mid race break away coming off after rest day in the vuelta.

Marianne Vos dominate performance in the womans worlds.

Gesink winning on mount baldy in California this year.

And lesser known Tiernan Locke domination on step climbs in the tour of med.

    Enjoy any of the above

all can be found in you tube as far as i know, Georges win was simply amazing, he had nothing left literally fell off bike at line. Pinots win memorable for team boss Madiot hanging out the car cheering him on

Tell me about it, done a few 90 minute turbo sessions during the icy period earlier in the month, don't think I'll ever do it again though. I'd rather be out in the wind and rain....

Which brings me back to a previous post....

What was supposed to just be a bottle of red wine with dinner turned into a bottle of red wine, a few cans of whatever warm beer we could put our hands on, a taxi to Harry's, mojitos, a bottle of prosecco, a few pints of heineken, jagerbombs, more mojitos and getting cheap spirits poured down our throats by a man standing on the bar.....never ever again.....
