Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys don't see a thread for this upcoming event. I'm going to be in Vegas on the 31st and I'll be there for this event. I'm sure you guys will be able to help me with a query. Been looking at tickets since I knew I had the holiday booked. Went premium in terms of Hotel I'm staying at and other things I have booked so I'll probably be looking at the cheap seats.

Now looking on ticketmaster this event seemly is ice cold in terms of sales (I'm fairly sure they have extended the cheap $78 tickets to even more seats). Am I shooting myself if I pick up tickets now or will I wait closer to the event. Sorry for starting a thread but I couldn't think where to post this question.

I'd say you'll pick up tickets dirt cheap. Check resale tickets too, might get some below face value.

I can't wait for Mir vs Arlovski, old skool bomb throwin'.

DJ has thanked the UFC PR team for helping boost his marketability. Didn't realise the UFC PR team had hired Jesus.

Manuwa is going to get knocked out like a woman practicing yoga where AJ usually lifts bro.

Women's Strawweight Paige VanZant vs. Alex Chambers

    Preliminary Card (Fox Sports 1)
Lightweight Ross Pearson vs. Paul Felder
Bantamweight Francisco Rivera vs. John Lineker

Demetrious, Mir and Rumble for me

How long has Arlovski nose been bent halfway across his face?

what makes you pick mir in this fight? im leaning towards mir myself but the bookies disagree, ill be having a punt on a multi either way.

His boxing lately has looked great, that left jab left hook on Bigfoot Silva was a thing of beauty and I just think that if he wants he could take this fight to the ground and sub Arlovski. As long as he avoids a slugfest I can see Mir taking it

The first bout up as a free fight on the UFC's YouTube channel:

Were we watching the same fights?

His hook verses Bigfoot was smooth, but it was a fairly light hook. And its a lot easier to look good with light punches. Bigfoot went down easy. I don't think that was close to a HW knock out punch.

    (mirrored for some reason)

The Duffee KO had a lot more welly in it. But it was one of the sloppiest exchanges I've seen. And within 90 seconds, not good.

Unless Mir takes this to the mat, Andre destroys him with a flurry around the 3 min mark

Obviously it's far more important, but Dodson's kid being born during fight week won't have helped his chances at all. Sleep pattern messed up for a couple of days, he even commented on Embedded about suffering a bit of an adrenaline dump.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,608 ✭✭✭breadmonkey

Is it just me or does Dodson come across as a complete tool? Like he's trying waaaaay too hard with his tough talk?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,398 ✭✭✭xtal191

Good fighter but I cant stand Dodson.

    Great interview with Johnson

Weigh ins just there. Most noticeable is that Mir is even bigger and Arlovski slightly lighter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,417 ✭✭✭Beersmith

Never mind Dodson having a kid this week, mir is going to fight late in his third trimester.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

I actually like Dodson. He seems like a nice guy. Very bubbly, always having a laugh. Don't get me wrong you'd probably want to strangle him if you lived with him as he seems like an energiser bunny who never switches off, but considering I only really see/hear from him during fight weeks he's a breath of fresh air IMO.

I'd love to see him win tonight.

What are the usual times for these to start at?

First 2 Pre lims at 11pm
Next 4 Pre lims at midnight
Then the main card starts at 2?

Is that how it usually works?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,398 ✭✭✭xtal191

That or when the clocks change its

    Fight Pass Prelims at 12
    Prelims at 1
    Main card at 3

No Poll? Things are getting messy around here these days.

Looking forward to Dodson and Johnson. First Johnson fight since they last fought is look forward to. Dodson represents the best challenge and still, can't look passed Johnson.

Bugger I was hoping it'd start at 2

I can see DJ subbing him late in the fight when Dodson gasses.

I'm looking forward to this, I think the main card is great, except bar the main event which more than likely I will pass out before it starts.

This was a close fight, I wasn't paying much attention, can't call it.

wonder is pearsons future on the line here tonight could make an interesting fight against felder, was really impreseed by him against barbosa even tho he lost that fight it was like ken vs ryu from street fighter or something..

I don't think so but I certainly feel that he's stalled big time. He could do with a win tonight for sure but something tells me Felder beats him.

    Really good fight on paper.

Smooth as butter on the ground from Stallings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

That was some transition into side control from Riggs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,549 ✭✭✭jcd5971

    what a bull**** stoppage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,509 ✭✭✭tinpib

    Stoppage due to a bum-smacking?

I feel horrible for Riggs but it's definitely a no contest.

    Sucky stoppage for Riggs.

No it's not, he can't see out of his eye.

Doubt it he should lose the fight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,509 ✭✭✭tinpib

    Can that decision be appealed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,387 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

Injury clearly didn't come from the kick

I know but he was in dominant position, but i see your point .

    Should've been a no contest.

I don't agree, the eye was already f*cked, the heel hit him in the jaw, not the eye.

When a fighter cant see out of an eye its perfectly right to stop the fight..

DQ for Stallings. Wasn't expecting that.

Eloquent Effing and jeffing from Riggs there.

You HAVE to protect the figters as much as possible. If it went on his eye could got worse and he could end up with permanent damage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,509 ✭✭✭tinpib

Jesus that's a grim attendance for the early prelims, looks around 1/3rd full.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,549 ✭✭✭jcd5971

Yeah and i agree your probably both right fighter safety comes first (you and sub )but I just felt sorry for him was all as he was winning.

No Riggs couldn't continue so fight should have been Stallings, Its bizarre its become a DQ doubt it will be overturned to anything else either.

Well he does get a "win" on his record but I reckon he will not be happy about the way in which he got it so I agree it's a massive let down for him.

It was just a combination of odd events.

yeah its just odd now that i watch it back i wonder would he have seen that upkick a bit better if his eye was not hurt, was a weird match all in all dont really know how i feel about it right now

I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't sign up for BT sports in time for this card, streams are bloody horrible.

Fight Pass has all prelims you'll have to pay extra for the PPV though.
