Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ermmm back on topic. I thank an awful lot of posts, i'm not a thank whore, it's because they've either given me a laugh or I agree with them and they just happened to post theirs 1st. My laptop is unbelievably slow at times

I'm not around long enough here to comment on perceived changes. But if a post is funny or shares my opinion, then it deserves a thanks I think. But if people want to preselect or dictate what others want to post or start as a Thread, then what's the fcuking point. Since I joined last October, I've seen great threads, $hit threads, funny threads, serious threads, threads I wouldn't even read and threads I can't stop reading. Isn't that the point of Boards.ie - there should be a little something for everybody.

You need more posts. Once you have enough you'll see a thumbs up button on posts, click that to say "thanks".

Also some forum does not add to your post count, TD is one.

On topic, it seems AH remains the same looking back since 2005 when I joined. Think it took me 6 months to actually find AH, nowadays it seems many start here for some reason.

It's ironic that the OP made this thread to condemn immature posters and thanks whores, and yet this whole thread has been one big thanks thread. I'm starting to wonder if maybe this is all just an elaborate scheme by thanks whores to get thanks.

Anyway I don't really mind the banter on After Hours, it's a place where I can get a break from the seriousness of all the other forums on Boards.ie and have a laugh at some stuff.
