Your virtue has been well and truly signalled and noted recedite.

It was a comedy roast. Essentially a group of comedians trying to one each other up. Giving out after the fact would be like saying that all the other players took your money after a poker game.

Johnson is polling twice as high as Stein. Among those who say they'll vote for Stein are protest voters but even among them once they read more of her views (ban GMO, instantly destroying agriculture and cause food riots, courting anti-vaccers etc.) and her running mate's views (the Jews did it) they'll not be long dropping her.

Both Libertarian or Green are protest votes mostly this time out. A lot who would vote Green wouldn't really be for the above, just like somebody voting Libertarian might not realise many in the Libertarian party have a problem with the 1960's civil rights act etc.

It's anybody but Trump but not quite Hillary and vice versa!

What I find amusing is that all the real hate speech seems to come from one side.
Its the same with the political rallies; Trump was constantly being interrupted by hecklers from the other side shouting vitriolic abuse at him. He just paused and waited calmly while security escorted them off the premises, and then resumed his speeches. Hillary never had to put up with any of that.

You've erased Trump's offer to pay legal costs from your memory? If you rough the protester up a bit I'll pay your legal fees.

I guess everyone just imagined Trump's violent rhetoric against protesters, egging on his supporters to react violently, tells them that's what we need more off, claims he'll pay their legal bills if they get in trouble, tells them that back in the good old days they knew how to deal with protesters, and that when they were assaulted they wouldn't protest again. I want to get off Mr. Recedite's wild ride...

You know, protesting is a pretty important right, what with that whole freedom of speech thing, freedom of assembly and all. But no, apparently mean jokes at a comedy event are the real hate, that is if they're at the expense of conservative Christians obviously, if they're at the expense of the quaaares, feeemales and darkies, well then lol triggered grow a thicker skin special snowflake it's only a joke.

The Trump supporters must have been too polite to take up the offer.

Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party candidate in the 2016 US presidential race, asked, “what is Aleppo?” when questioned about a major flashpoint of the Syrian civil war on Thursday.

The gaffe came during an MSNBC interview about the Syrian crisis and the ongoing battle in that country’s biggest city, Aleppo, which has been divided for years into government and rebel sectors.

“What would you do, if you were elected, about Aleppo,” Mr Johnson was asked.

“About Aleppo. And what is Aleppo?” he responded.

“You’re kidding?” the MSNBC interviewer said.

    “No,” Mr Johnson said.

“Aleppo is in Syria . . . It’s the epicenter of the refugee crisis,” the interviewer said.

“Okay, got it. Got it,” Johnson said.

Appearing dumber than Trump is quite the achievement.

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

No doubt, according to Trump, that was the media distorting a story by quoting his words directly in the context in which they were said.

Personally, I'd be more worried - in no particular order - about his hopelessly touchy self-esteem, his crushing ignorance, his dishonesty, his massively over-inflated self-worth, his emotional immaturity and toddler-level vanity, his gross tastelessness, his inability to behave with decency or honor or respect, his crass acceptance of a Purple Heart medal, his insulting of the parents of that dead muslim soldier, his support of Farange, his dog-whistle suggestion that gun supporters should deal with Clinton, his apparently bottomless degradation of everything he touches.

One could go on listing his disreputable qualities but there's only so much diskspace on the boards' backend servers.

    What was the insult exactly?
Trump had nothing but respect for the dead soldier, referring to him as a "hero". After the father was wheeled out at a democrat rally to launch a searing attack on Trump, the worst thing Trump had to say about him was that he was "very emotional and probably looked like a nice guy to me".

Surely you know the truth is out there. It's not like these things happened before the advent of the internet.

    More on that here.

Regardless, in the early 1920's, Franklin D Roosevelt was diagnosed with polio, left effectively paralyzed from the waist down and died in office. Despite that, he seems to have been one of the finest presidents the US has had.

On the basis of available evidence, Clinton's health looks good to me and I'm certainly not aware of any health-related issues which would make her less appealing than Trump.

Well, there has been a guy in a wheelchair for years at the top level (Minister for Finance) in Germany, and a blind guy in the UK. As long as they are inherently talented and capable people, and still mentally alert, most people don't care about the disability.
But Hillary looks like a zombie on heroin in that video.

Trump, who was /is polling at 0% among black voters, goes pandering in a predominantly black church. Much cringing ensues:

It's hard to know if you're serious, but you do recall that Trump wants to ban all Muslims from the USA, even though some Muslims have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of the USA, like the son of the parents mentioned? He then sneered at the parents (look it up*) after the father made a speech at the Democrat convention.

*Try a site other than Breitbart maybe.

A Muslim wife is not expected to speak out when in the same room as her husband. I think we all understand that. It's not an insult to observe the reality of the culture.

Who cares if she spoke or not? She could have been too emotional/ nervous. It says a lot about Trump's horrid, pathetic character that he would listen to that father's speech and his only take away was; "why she no talk?"

As if he cares about women. This brash, loud-mouth, spoiled child who dumps his wives when they show signs of ageing. Not to mention him groping his own 'hot' daughter.

Fans of Islam are few to none in this forum as you should know, but most of us would take the side of the muslim parents (who lost a young son - every parent's worst nightmare) here over Mr Rich Fascist.

In that case, why did Drumpf act like a stereotypical handicapped person if all he wanted to do was mock this guy's "selective memory"?

I don't care. I don't think Trump did either. He merely pointed it out at some stage. I don't see that as being insulting, or even worth talking about.
In that case, why did Drumpf act like a stereotypical handicapped person if all he wanted to do was mock this guy's "selective memory"?
The theatrics were in poor taste, but his style is to use a lot of hand gestures all the time anyway. Its an act to entertain the crowd.
I'm more interested in the substance of the original story. Trump got carried away when he originally said he saw "thousands" celebrating in Jersey. He exaggerated so much he lied. But he was probably right in the basic allegation that a large number of people in that neighbourhood were supportive of the hijackers and seemed to know in advance the attack was going to happen. Covering that up is also a kind of lie, and the journalist was part of that cover-up.

You repeating the insult doesn't exactly defuse it, rec. The claim that "a muslim wife doesn't speak out when in the same room as her husband" is simply not true, as you would know if you had actually spent any time in rooms with any Muslim families.

There's a huge difference between "what we all understand" and simple ignorance feeding on Daily Mail-type coverage.

The woman in question has gone on record as saying that she didn't talk at the Convedntion about her son's death because it would be too emotional for her. Trump's psychopathy and bigotry would prevent him from understanding why anyone would care so much about what, after all, is only a dead Muslim, so he came up with the typically Trumpian "probably maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say, you tell me, but plenty of people have written that."

Now, since you're so keen on cites, would you like to see if you can dig up a cite for Trump's claim that "plenty of people have written" that Ghazala Khan was "probably maybe" not allowed to have anything to say.

No? Can't find anything? Not going to try because you already know the result of your search could only embarrass Trump?

Here's a tip. When you're shilling for Trump, it's a bad, bad mistake ever to start asking Trump critics for cites. They'll find cites, and they they'll ask you for cites, and then your position will collapse faster than an overripe mandarin topped by a dead squirrel. In any cite-demanding contest, the Trump supporters are always, always going to come off worst.

Well, at least Catholics are supposed not to use condoms, at at one time were supposed not to eat meat on Fridays. But the claim that "a muslim wife doesn't speak out when in the same room as her husband" doesn't even have that kind of foundation. It's just something that someone pulled out of his DailyMailhole and Rec, poor sap, fell for it.
