    Yep deffo on.

The Lidl €10 voucher will make them even cheaper. :D

However looking at their prices, 25% off would bring them down to what they should.

Stock up for the Bank Holiday with 25% off any 6 bottles of wine and/or champagne.

Offer ends on Bank Holiday Monday.

    So say a wine costs 8€ and you buy 12 = 96€

    Less 25% = 24€ = 74€

    Less 10€ Lidl voucher = 64€

    64€ / 12 = 5.33€ a bottle - not too shabby

Still get another 5% off for 6 bottle purchase I wonder ???

Even cheaper if you buy 5 bottles at €8 and 1 bottle at €10 = €50.
    25% off is 12.5 off so €37.50 and Lidl €10 voucher = €27.50 or €4.60 a bottle.

    If you wanted to buy all the same at €8, get 7 at €8 = €56 - 25% = €42.
Lidl €10 voucher off = €32 so €4.57 per bottle.
Also the vouchers will be in this weeks SI and SW, so for another €2.45 (SW) you would get another €10 off voucher.
So buy another 7 bottles etc and end up with 14 bottles at cost €66.45 (€32 x 2 plus €2.45 for SW) works out at €4.75 per bottle.

Tesco 25% off any 6 bottles Wine & Champagne plus other bank holiday offers.

Asked in Tesco in Monaghan why most of the Tech bargains on here were not reduced and the girl said the manager told them it does NOT start until tomorrow and I said well why are the Action cams on offer and all the 10 euro cams gone and she couldnt answer...the old manger that left Monaghan was way better and helpful compared to this new guy...Monaghan have very little lately in the way of TVs, Laptops or tech in general but it would be nice to get the benefit of and reductions when they happen...to stay on topic though (dont want a warning...lol) there were plenty of the 20 euro Vivitar action cams left in Monaghan....

So the fifty euro for the lidl voucher can be before the 25% I'd applied??

    Moody_mona wrote: »

After. I've used one in Lucan and one in Maynooth over the past few days. On both occasions- it was 10 Euro off a bill of 50 (aka- the 6 bottles of wine came to 65.94 before discount- 49.45 after- had to buy a pack of chewing gum to bring it back over the 50- to get the extra 10 off........)

Alternatively- you could get a few more expensive bottles (like the Matteus Rose which is 11.29 a bottle)- so when you take the 25% it brings it to just over the 50........

Neither Lucan nor Maynooth were willing to entertain the 10 Euro discount- unless the final total came to >50..........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭vicwatson

So thats it, the final total has to be over 50€ - AFTER the dicsount, so in order for it to work the wine bill has to be Min €62.50 right?

    Wine = €62.50
    25% Discount = €12.50
    Bill total = €50.00
    Less Lidl Voucher = €40.00

    Correct?

Unless- there other stores are handling the competitor coupons differently- and we do seem to have encountered quite a few different stores having different interpretations of the scheme.......

Actually I think I'm wrong in my maths here -

    It should be

The final total has to be over 50€ - AFTER the discount, so in order for it to work the wine bill has to be Min €67.00 right?

    Wine = €67.00
    25% Discount = €16.75
    Bill total = €50.25
    Less Lidl Voucher = €40.25

    Have I this finally correct?

1L Captain Morgan's is €25 and some of the other whiskeys have good reductions at the moment. Throw in a bottle with the wine and you will have spent more than enough to use the €10 Lidl voucher.
even throw in 24 cans of Bud/Heino for €26 for the summer BBQ. It's a good weekend for stocking up on alcohol.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,624 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

I'm nearly sure the last time this happened, I got wine in Tesco Stillorgan for over €50/under €60, then got the 25% off and used the €10 voucher after but as said already, a lot of the staff don't know how to process them.
This time around it could be different though.

I'd agree with your figures. I got caught once when was just under the €50 after the 15% discount and cashier advised to add something on or couldn't use the €10 voucher.

Handy if you're only spending €25 or indeed if you need multiple vouchers for multiple transactions over the weekend!

Made sure to print it in colour on high quality paper and guillotine the edges so it would look respectable!! :D

isn't there another thread for voucher calculations and discussion?

    anyway,

cameras are back in the crescent store in Limerick.

the only difference between the 2 - model 783HD is €10 and model 785HD is €20 - is that the 785 has a 2 inch screen and the 783 has a 1.77 inch screen. Otherwise they are exactly the same with the same accessories.

However, some of the colours could also be different prices - the silver 783 is €10 but the blue 783 is scanning at €20 - I pointed this out at the till and she adjusted the blue one to €10 by scanning the silver one twice.

it looks like the clearance sale is officially starting today - the staff were putting extra stuff on the shelves and pricing it down - toys, household, electronics etc.

There is a Tesco cross-cut shredder for €10 too. Don't have the model number - blue box.

They have also confirmed via Facebook and/or Twitter in recent weeks that they also accept M&S and Iceland vouchers. And not just in Tesco stores near an M&S or Iceland either but all ROI Tesco stores (except Tesco Express).
