Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi I am looking to set up a website that will hold small documentaries - on various formats and quality but relatively short on length (typically less than 15mins)

    I did a website design course years ago but think I may save people's eyes by getting someone else to do it.

    What type of a capacity would I need to have if I was to hold say 50 5min docs?

    Could someone give me their thoughts on the above.

    Why not just use youtube? They will convert it into like 6 formats for you like 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p?

    Can some one recommend a good eCommerce hosting site? Is shopify any good? or wix?

    Or would a designer be better?
    Shop will have 40+ products, 5 or 6 categories, links, filter search, etc.
    No logo, just nice simple header, whole site will be easy to look at, simple to the point.
    Able to take paypal and card payment, also will need to be able to add and edit items myself.

    Shopify is one of the better ways to dip your toe into e-commerce, and can do all of the things you mentioned there. I would stay away from wix.

    I sell products through a Wordpress site, which was built with PayPal buy now buttons.
    I am looking at the possibility of upgrading to a shopping cart type setup which would hopefully provide a lot more functionality (i.e. allow the user to select shipping method and calculate rate based on destination entered etc)

    I seek the help of a database developer.

    The website I am working on is to have the ability for a user that, once registered, can visit their own control panel, enter their golf stats after a round of golf, and also view a history of their progress. Search results would also be available by a range of multiple display values.

    I also need the ability for the site administrator to add golf courses, which are selectable by the registered users for inputting their scores and stats etc. and require multiple values to be selectable i.e. name, address, par level and other golf-related jargon.

    Newly established city centre based business requires programmer/web designer's assistance in rebuilding current website.
    The following are some of the features required:

    * Membership capabilities,
    * Private image and video galleries/player software for each member
    * Ability to share images/media via social networks (e.g. Facebook)

    My friend is looking to create a website for his business.
    However, he is pretty bad at computers, but signed up to this Volusion company and has been 50e a month nearly for the last few months, but hasn't bothered to do anything with it.

    Does anyone here have experience with Volusion etc or opinions on it.


    The site would be for party accessories, bouncing castles etc.

    Site needs to be an e-commerce site with shopping cart etc (hence purchasing Volusion)
    Full access to the Volusion software and editing suite

    If the site is not s.e.Friendly then its no good for the customers.

    Volusion includes plenty of SEO work for achieving high SERPs rankings.

    -No email marketing option, which is very useful when establishing or running on online business.
    -The Social Media Builder™ is only provided in the gold and platinum packages, which ‘robs’ the other packages of an important marketing tool.

    Apart from these minor things its good to start with Volusion.

    I have a Wordpress website which I need some styling done to make it look prettier.

    The site is based on users uploading pictures kind of like a classifieds. They have a buddypress logon. When they upload an ad they specify which county they are in, type of ad etc. Currently the ads are grouped together and I would like to include a filter so people can search by County, town and so on

    I have since refined the concept, come up with one key new element, and have it fully specified in a document, so it would really be a case of you just reading through and coming up with a quote, i.e. you wouldn't have to spend much time asking questions and going back and forth.

    Hi, I have just made a Wix site for a friend. I found it ok, but see here that people recommend using Wordpress. I have just got another project.
