Did they fly them there in a helicopter or something?

When I saw Molloy on the pitch I couldn't believe it.

I suspected they would do that. You don't get many opportunities to participate in a sigerson final so I fully understand why they wanted to. I'd have done the same in their position. Shoukd never have been put in that position though. One of the matches should have at least been moved to the Sunday

Molloy definitely went in a squad car - presume they travelled together

Yes I read that they got a garda escort. Seems strange that they would be allowed that for a Sigerson final, but fair play to them for making for the effort. And they absolutely shouldn't have been put in that position.

If Im not mistaken the Dublin next week bizarrely becomes a dead rubber.

Galway need to beat Limerick either way. By beating Dublin they can get two points clear.

Lose to Dublin and beat Limerick and you win the head to head anyway.

We're not catching them on points difference so the 5 wins and draw gives them the edge.

Good showing. Really impressed by Shane Cooney who was outstanding in the air. No harm to have competition at half back.

Josie Cooney was best man on the pitch but limped off. His workrate was absolutely fantastic. His replacement Niall Burke was fighting for dirty ball all second half and was very good.

Coen and Loftus decent in midfield.

Just didn't happen at all for Whelan today. Thankfully Glennon, Flaherty, Conor Cooney and Mannion all had good showings.

Parnell next week is big. We never play well there. A win there sets us up for a winner takes all against a decent Limerick. We're still a few months off match sharpness but encouraging stuff today.

5000 too. Great crowd for a match of this competitiveness. Should be bumper for Limerick and Monaghan.

As above... dont think next week matters for us at all.

We'll finish ahead of Limerick on the head to head either way.

Would be nice to send Dublin towards 2A though.

4 points might not be enough for them with their points difference and Offaly have them in their head to head.

If Laois beat Offaly and Offaly beat Antrim if Dublin only win the last game they're likely to go down on points difference.

Shane Cooney definitely has the makings of it. Watching him up through the grades he has always stood out as a good player. Bannon did fine also. The runout will do Mc no harm either. Form of Aidan Harte is a worry. Lad wouldn't find a nun in a convent at the moment with his passing. Galway really only need to find a couple of new players to push what's there already and I think Shane Cooney, Eanna Burke and young Concannon can take the next step.

Ya Concannon looked lively when he came on and set up what should have been a simple Glennon goal. Nothing against lads like Shane Maloney but we need better options off the bench. McHugo also could turn into a super player in the next few years.

I wouldn't worry too much about Harte. He had a shocking start to last year's league too (roasted against Wexford too) but turned it on for the latter stages and championship.

Happy enough with the showing today. After the Antrim game I was worried either Laois or Offaly would catch us but we've picked up the pace a bit in the last few weeks. It was a very difficult day for hurling but we played some decent stuff.

Offaly are showing small signs of improvement but they still have a lot of ground to make up.

The goal after half time finished the game really and the sending off shortly after killed the life in the game.

Thought Shane Cooney and Sean Loftus did well of the new guys.

Dublin are struggling but Parnell Park will be a good test to keep the winning run going but either way it comes down to the Limerick game.

I don't know is the league going to be reworked for next year if not I'm undecided as to whether promotion would be a good thing. Limerick are in Division 1B since forever and winning that game may mean more to them.

For now we are into the quarter finals anyway and we will have a few more games to build towards the championship.

Probably catch 22. If someone said now we were to win the All Ireland again I'd rather stay in 1B. Doesn't stop us winning the league but it gives a chance to ease players back into the season and try out new ones. If we were in the top division I don't think we'd be anywhere but having three losses at this stage. Teams would simply be further along in training and preparation. Being in 1B and the new Leinster League should hopefully benefit Galway. I think 1B is a grand place to be!!

Harte always takes a while longer to get back up to full speed. Wouldn't read into it

Hurling refs from Cork who Galway fans believe have previously and currently screwed us over in close games.

There just shi*e no bias or alterior motive, McAllistar in particular is brutal. It's certainly not exclusive to Galway.

There does seem to be strong rumours that Comer did breach some sort of drinking ban, but from what I hear from people at his club it hasn't resulted in losing captaincy.

Which lads in the club were ya talking to? Apparently he had a severe head on him today while leading NUIG to a sigerson final. Turned up to the bus with a curry cheese chip in one hand and Diarmuid O'Connors male pride in the other

Do you actually expect me to name names? Christ above. The facts are Comer was on the beer in Galway on the Thursday night before a game, it was a student night, and him being of student age it was understandable IMO. He did not get stripped of captaincy thank god, but yes it did happen. But it's no big deal whatsoever. Carry on doing what you are doing Damien!

Shocking jersey. The white keeper/away jerseys were always really nice.

Wow, that's one ugly jersey. A camo jersey, That be handly for the footballer when they go into hiding if they make it to Croke Park,

    I really like it too.
I also prefer the black jersey (worn by colm Callanan in Leinster and all Ireland finals) to white one so I suppose I'm just different.🙈😂

That jersey is horrible. Let's hope we avoid Westmeath in the Hurling & Football :D
