Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Juri looks like she'll be very good.

    Her forward dash was insanely fast and that dash counter move has a lot of potential.

    Some wall bouncing moves too, so Ryu's side kick might make a return.

    That, or Juri got the short end of the stick when it comes to health. Given the fact that she looks like a top tier character on paper, maybe thats the case.

    Also, I think Hawks Super looks way better than his Ultra.

    SPD hitbox is fine, that is ridiculous. The only nerfs Gief needs are reducing the size of lariat's hitbox on the ends of his fists, and maybe adding a couple frames recovery to whiffed SPD animation imo.

    Details/Rumours :

    • He confirmed characters will have two Ultra moves.

    • Some of the new commands to execute an Ultra are very unique.

    • There were 8 selectable character spots on the select screen with only Juri, T. Hawk and Dee Jay selectable.

    • The character select screen is completely different than it was in Street Fighter 4.

    • Yoshinori Ono is still pushing hard to get an arcade version made.

    • He was asked if the big announcement next week will relate to characters or new online modes, Ono said it was the latter.

    • Dee Jay's Machine Gun Punch is now a mash punch command. It's no longer done by charging down and then pressing up + punch.

    • T. Hawk's Condor Spire (horizontal Hawk Dive) is a reverse Dragon Punch command.

    • You can follow an EX-Tomahawk Buster with an EX-Condor Dive. This takes two EX meters.

    • Yoshinori feels that a Darkstalkers revival is possible.

    • Throws are too easy to land in Capcom's eyes and they plan to tweak some things to fix this. Ono wants jumps to have fewer startup frames.

    • Capcom wants to give the rest of the cast more tools for countering Dragon Punch/Tiger Uppercut attacks.

    Hmm... I've no problems with throws in SF4? Also they should just nerf dragon punch moves a little by added a few more frames of recovery on fireballs.

    Darkstalkers revival = Win but for me it would have to be 2D or very heavily stylised 3D.

    A few more things confirmed by a French website and reported by eventhubs.

    Sagat and Seth were specifically mentioned in the article as being nerfed (not being as effective).
    The rest of the cast is being rebalanced by altering the power of some of their moves along with changing up the frame data.
    There will be new opening and ending sequences done by a 'great Japanese animation studio.'
    Assumption from author: The user-interface will be receiving an overhaul.
    Assumption from author: Bonus stages have been confirmed.

    What do you mean in particular Placebo? DPs and hurricane kicks can be punished fine, and adding recovery to his fireballs would cripple his zoning game imo.

    i felt tatsu and lp.dp, they can grab instantly afterwards, usually teching my initial counter grab, other shotos etc can dp themselves as a counter but with chun anything worth hitting has too much of a start up.

    You should always be able to hit with a decent punish combo after a DP I think, maybe it's character-dependant though - generally throws aren't the best option as punishers. With Chun you should be able to do:

    c.lk > c.lk > c.lk xx EX legs

    to punish a blocked DP I think? Not sure on tatsus as I usually try and crouch and hit them with AA lariat as they're going over.

    i can punish dps. but happened once with ry where he dp'd then i tried to grab and he dp'd me again, doesnt seem right.

    with tatsu a good general reset is lp while hes still twirling, but i think back mp [slap] might work here

    That's not due to recovery I don't think, the startup of DP isn't throwable (really annoying as Gief) so if you think they might DP again then going for a throw isn't a good option (unless you have the frame advantage, which I think you do depending on range).

    You where too slow Placebo thats all it was in that case.

    More info on SSF IV as famitsu scans reveal the return of the bonus stages from SF 2, the car and the falling barrels return to be pummeled. Huzzzzahh!

    Also they confirmed the following.

    • A team battle mode that is a 2 vs 2 set, but it can scale up to 4 vs 4.

    • A Replay Channel where you can play replays of matches while voice chatting with other players.

    • An Endless Battle mode with up to 8 players and voice chat, which sounds a lot like the quarter matches in SSF2T HD Remix.

    • Apparently a 'tournament mode' will be delivered as DLC (downloadable content).

    Unless the online versions of Marvel allow several players to play on one team each controlling a character?
