LOL Tyranax...but it's true (not that u sound as a pink washbag...lol), I wathced KiKi yesterday night, lovely...even in low quality (directly via internet)...anyway, the end it's a bit..."not complete" to me, still beautiful...not my fave from Ghibli but lovely nonetheless ^_^

Aaaw I got Kiki's Delivery Service for christmas and watched it with the boyfriend - think he was intimidated by how much I was enjoying it.

There's something about this type of animation. It isn't patronising to kids, and it's still entertaining to us slightly bigger kids (i.e. we're taller)

    Ain't that for sure Misa-san!

I've been watching 'Project A-ko' lately with my girlfriend, and she's loving it! For those of you who have not seen it yet, it's an absolutely mental parody of most Shoujo and Robot anime. I fully recommend it to anyone with an oddball sense of humor like myself :D

Watching Gunslinger Girl now, its a bit... erm...overly dramatic? But that is its only downfall so far :p

I watched Paprika on Blu-ray a few nights ago. Complete eye candy.

I am now watching Fruit Basket, read the manga few years ago and loved it.
Watching it on youtube, japanese with italian fansub, LOL

TY for giving me new ideas and make me even a bigger otaku than I already am :pac:

Watched Nausicaa last night, top quality, and more mature than I thought it would be. The woman who voiced Nausicaa herself in the Japanese dub did a fantastic job of her, really brought her to life, although to be fair the rest of the cast did great jobs on their charachters as well.

I'm looking for another recommendation if ye don't mind. I have both Porco Rosso and Laputa: Castle In The Sky to watch. I don't know which to see first. I just watched Nausicaa last week so I'm leaning towards Porco Rosso as a change from that in terms of tone and setting, but I'm looking forward to watching Laputa as well. Any suggestions?

Unfortunatly haven't seen either, but if you're looking for another well animated movie you could try 5cm Per Second.

Same here. I watched a few days ago, and I am in awe of the imagination on Satoshi Kon. Again. I heard it described as a film "...not to be so much understood, as experienced." Quite true. Cracking soundtrack on it too.

DMC -does anybody else love this anime. - totally nuts, completely funny - and that haircut.
Sword of Uruk - loved series one and liking series two even better.
5 cm. per second - makoto shinkai is a genius, email him to get back to work!!! voices of a distant star - as good as any ghibli production. dare i say even better (with the exception of totoro - a cultural artifact bestowed to us mere mortlals by god himself or herself)

I kinda gave up on anime as they never stay true to the manga (like FMA and one piece dubs) over all the mangas are just on a different level to the animes and i felt it was wrong to watch them :D and they took up a lot longer to watch then reading does...

Atm ive a long list of manga i up to date with

[all the  im up to date in]

:cool:One Piece (i put it 1st only cause it is the best manga/anime in the world and current plot lines are in short awesome)

    :cool:Fairy Tail (luv it)
:cool:Death Note (its over and wat can i say dam gud plots)
Rurouni Kenshin (havent got into it as much as i want)
Elven Lied (anime and its a classic)
:cool:Love Hina (cause i was bored and yh its a chick flick manga)
Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi (got half way tru and another manga caught my attention and well i have to get back to it)
    :cool:Hunter X Hunter (plz come back :( )
    :cool:Mahou Sensei Negima! (lol funny)

Finished reading the first volume of Path of the Assassin a few days ago. Great stuff, kind've preferring the art in this over the artist's other samurai epic, Lone Wolf & Cub.
I'll definitely be going back to Chapters soon to pick up the other volumes dirt-cheap.

I am also reading the Death Note manga series.
