Disgusting armpit hair on woman

I saw this woman on the Craig Doyle show. She unashamedly was sprouting furry bits from her under arm. I think this is absolutely grotesque. What sort of feminist goes to such lengths to make these points.

Anyway, would any men be willing to go out with a woman with a vast amount of under arm hair? Maybe I am sexist, and even though it is natural it makes me want to puke.

All humans grow hair. It is not like growing weed, it is a natural bodily process rather than a choice.

Not shaving it off is vomitous though.

It's a personal choice how much body hair a woman chooses to have, but at the same time she shouldn't be terribly surprised if people think she's gross. That interview with her was simply nasty- the thick hair on her legs just made me wonder what the state of her bush was :/ Would need to get a machete and go in Indiana Jones style to find her Temple of Doom :O

Look on the bright side, she can't complain about you staring at her boobs or anything like that.

Because you'll be disgusted by the armpit-hair.

    Got it in one.

You've been conditioned by commercials/porn to want women hairless.

Sure ye need something to keep ya warm in winter.

Could be worse, due to my hatred with the power of the heat of a supernova for Craig Doyle, I was watching a different show on a different channel.

Much the same except this woman grew a penis. "Ladyboys" I think it was called. Give me armpit hair anytime.

So if porn-stars and actors stopped shaving, we'd all want hairy wimmen?

    Likely

I dunno man, I find shaving my face to be a huge chore, I can't imagine having to do my legs and armpits all the time too.
If it doesn't bother her, let her be.

Yes, probably. You think you like something a certain way but tbh you're just led by the nose like the rest of us.
You're probably too young to know but hairless women "down there" is a pretty new concept. 20 years ago or so no porn stars shaved.
The whole underarm shaving biz started in US after WW1 when marketeers saw a new way to make money. Google "Caucasian Female Body Hair and American Culture" if you're interested.

Remember the fuss years ago, when Julia Roberts appeared at a movie premiere with slightly hairy armpits? (photo) I thought she might have rushed on to the plane to London, after a month wrangling horses on her New Mexico ranch. I remember that the people screaming at her were almost all women, while men just aren't as fussed about a bit of body hair. You think some guy's going to kick her out of bed over a little stray undergrowth? :o

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Next you'll be suggesting that we don't really need 5 blades on a razor and that that's all a marketing ploy too.... Who do you work for?

    Grotesque

    Want to puke

You wouldn't go out with a woman with hair in her armpit?

What is wrong with you? You need help if a spot of hair causes the above reaction, and if you are so fascinated with oxters you can't see beyond them. I don't think you are sexist, I think you are mental!

Right so, let's see you give a stab at shaving your legs and pits every day, getting your sack and crack waxed once a month, plucking your eyebrows every day and routinely removing any unsightly 'embarrassing' hairs (upper lip, chin, etc) whose growth deems you 'less of a man' for a few weeks and we'll see how you get on.

That was her point. Hair anywhere but on the head is ultimately deemed 'unfeminine' and 'embarrassing' for a woman, even though it's as natural on our bodies as it is on yours.

I don't see how right or wrong comes into it, all she did was make a choice about her appearance. It's not as if she has a Charles Manson style swastika tattooed into her forehead or anything.

Armpit hair has a very real function in that it 'transmits' signals to the other gender .Scent is sent out from there and elsewhere to say " she's ready" .
Long before chanel ...... nature was doing it her own way .

    You are. You've been conditioned.

Underarm hair isn't one of life's beautiful things - on men or women. Come to think of it, neither are underarms. Beats me why people have them on show at all.

I find male underarm hair just as unattractive as female underarm hair - but I can accept it exists without resorting to calling the person attached to the hair disgusting.

Find it hard to understand the mentality that underarm hair on a woman is "disgusting" but "normal" for a man. Hair is hair surely??

So it's right for you guys, but not for us ladies?

All she's doing is challenging the social and cultural norm, at the risk of offending and disgusting the masses. Which I find is quite admirable.

No-one's going to force you to ride her or anything (though she's prettier than average as far as I can judge). Why the judgement, why not live and let live?

Was this woman on the Craig Doyle show for any reason other than her armpits, or was she there solely to discuss hair?

No Craig Doyle was trying to sell her some dodgy phne/broadband package

Simply dress modestly is the answer and add mystery which is essential if it's there at all these days .There's little left in the boundaries with the fashion houses having pushed them as far as possible .

That's fair enough. We're all allowed to have our own likes and dislikes - I, for one, don't find men who are squeamish about a bit of body hair attractive.

squeamish has nothing to do with it. I think how a women takes care of herself says a lot. I would consider grooming to be big deal to be honest.

So does the decision not to shave = not grooming or not taking care?

well not shaving is not grooming. As for not taking care, well that's a matter of opinion too. In my eyes if you've decided to be hairy then it means you're either lazy or don't really care much about your appearance.

What grooming do you do? Just trying to get an idea of what constitutes 'taking care of oneself' in your eyes.
