Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He pulls out of a lot of the deals though. Two that I was looking at recently. The other is Cool as Ice-cream, always in there first.

    Are they resellers or collectors?

Resellers I'd say. Isn't one of them involved with that crowd who buys and sells retro consoles. They come to you and pay crappy prices, cant remember the name but they were spamming here last year.

They spammed me on facebook loads even though I wasn't following them, lots of messages etc.
I got angry so tracked the main guy down and got his address and phone number.

Ditto on the resellers, sheridan never sells on adverts though, only buys, and yeah I've seen him pull out of quite alot of sales, mine included.

    I ****ing hate resellers

Doing that is as bad as being a ticket tout.

Thats it! Ah well it happens everywhere, could just be an OTT collector but very unlikely!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,563 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

It's alright for us to move on the stuff we don't want, right?
I bought a N64 bundle for 60 off adverts, kept the one game sold on the rest for
    40. Had 6 games and decent ones. Could of sold it for more.

Ah but we dont price gauge, and were not spammers! usually my "sales" end up as trades with other collectors though

    Totally different thing.

You'd be a reseller if you bought the n64 bundle off adverts for 60 and then tried to sell it on for 120.

If I ever get a bargain and no longer want the item, I try to pass the bargain on. Wouldn't dream of trying to make money out of it.

UNLESS we're talking about some super rare item worth hundreds/thousands. But that's not really the same thing.

On a related note, i sold something on ebay last week, cost the buyer 11.50 delivered. She had it up on adverts for 15 quid (using my ebay pic too) before i had even posted it off. Lot of hassle to make a few quid profit ya would think.

Quick heads up. Peats in Parnell Street are flogging PSP games for €1 each.

I picked up a sealed, new copy of Wipeout Pulse for €1. Not sure how much is left but deffo worth a look.

They have PS2 games for €5 each new and sealed too. Though there is only two titles available. This Is Football and Formula 1 2002.

Cool, was there many PSP games in stock? What kinda games did they have?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

None of the PSP titles were on display, just boxes of stuff upstairs in the warehouse. All the assistant brought down was Dexter and Wipeout Pulse.

That said there may be more titles I don't know, I was in a rush with a taxi waiting outside so didn't have time to frog march the assistant upstairs and demand to see what games were available and what they were keeping for themselves! ;)

For €1 though it's well worth a look if you're in the area.

Fair do's. I wouldn't recommend anyone stop by if you're a good bit out from Parnell Street. Just in case that's all they have, I don't know.

That said, if it was a different situation and I'd ended up going I'd have been happy out with Wipeout Pulse for a Euro. Can't really complain about that, it's 1/5 of a pint says I!

    Panty boy was amused.

Going to be sticking 4 MVS carts up on adverts a little later.

    1. Metal Slug (013074)Black
    2. Metal Slug 5 (002422) Black
    3. The King of Fighters 98 (022095) Blue
    4. The King of Fighters 99 (NGH251) Green (Label may have been replaced somewhere along the line)

Just giving a heads up in case anyone is looking for these particular game. No bootlegs as far as I can tell(and I've checked) but they can be double checked before purchase. I don't mind opening them up to verify the roms etc.
