Usually steer clear of 2nd half bets and Leinster vs Ulster is no exception with Leinster -11 at halftime (10/11) looking like free money. Why is Ulster putting out such a weak looking team? :D

it's part of a cunning plan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

John Hayes 1st tryscorer at 55/1 is free money sure, I reckon he'll spend the game hanging out on the wing! :p

Munster -12 is the spread now, was -14. Way more tempted now!

did a double of them with leinster

Magian to score a try in 80 mins for me tomorrow @ a decent looking 2/1.
Leinsters top tryscorer in the league so far iirc.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Keeping it safe; Leinster -19 and Munster -6.

Works out at 2.2. Wouldn't touch the Ospreys/Scarlets game ever; that has tight, niggly game all over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Leinster -10
Sale Sharks win (at home to Newcastle)
Edinburgh win (at home to Glasgow)
    Munster -6

    that fourfold pays about 2/1

The Scottish derbies are generally home wins and Dwayne Peel is back for Sale, plus Newcastle are cack.

    Gone for Glasgow +8 HT @ 3/10
    Connacht over 13.5 @ 5/6
    Leinster -13 HT @11/10

    4/1 all together

Any opinions on Ulster to score over 11.5 points in the match at evens?

I could see a consolation try if Leinster start to pull away but I'd leave it for 10 minutes

Glasgow get a last minute try to draw it. :o

Still won on single bets with Munster & Leinster to beat their respective spreads, so a good weekend.

Thank you!!! :D 4 out of 5 bets came in today with my only miss in the Ospreys game. Could have been even better had I had time to bet on the Munster game.

Lads was in a PP shop half an hour ago and they had a good special both Leinster and Munster to win by 10 points or more 15/8 on stephens day.

the normal handicap is -24 10/11 and -14 10/11that double works out at 11/4
but theres a big difference between winning by 10 or winning by 25 or 15.

    l went big on it.

The next morning PP changed the odds to 10/11 on this bet.
I taught the odds were wrong.
Hopefully a few others got on.

Carr first try scorer @ 8/1.

Back up bets on Fitz and Kearney refunded too with money back special.

    Tasty.

Sarries look a good bet today.
Neutral ground that they're well used to, and a more powerful pack with a big bench.

Harlequins: 15 Mike Brown, 14 Seb Stegmann, 13 Matt Hopper, 12 Jordan Turner-Hall, 11 Ugo Monye, 10 Nick Evans, 9 Danny Care, 8 Nick Easter, 7 Chris Robshaw (c), 6 Maurie Fa'asavalu, 5 George Robson, 4 Tomas Vallejos, 3 James Johnston, 2 Chris Brooker, 1 Joe Marler.
Replacements: 16 Joe Gray, 17 Mark Lambert, 18 Tim Fairbrother, 19 Charlie Matthews, 20 Luke Wallace, 21 Richard Bolt, 22 Rory Clegg, 23 Tom Williams.

Saracens: 15 Alex Goode, 14 David Strettle, 13 Owen Farrell, 12 Brad Barritt, 11 James Short, 10 Charlie Hodgson, 9 Peter Stringer, 8 Ernst Joubert, 7 Andy Saull, 6 Kelly Brown, 5 George Kruis, 4 Steve Borthwick (c), 3 Carlos Nieto, 2 Schalk Brits, 1 Rhys Gill.
Replacements: 16 Jamie George, 17 John Smit, 18 Matt Stevens, 19 Mouritz Botha, 20 Jackson Wray, 21 Ben Spencer, 22 Adam Powell, 23 Chris Wyles.

Taking -3 I think. Stringer starts too.

I was going to say Scarlets at +5 away to the Dragons would be a great bet (Scarlets have won there in 4 out of the last 5 only losing by two in the other game) but cos of the 4 day turn around it's very much a second choice Scarlets team up.

The total points line is only 33.5 in the Ulster match tonight that seems very low to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,803 ✭✭✭porterbelly

    Ulster -5 all day long

Dirty night, could be a slog, might only be a kick of a ball between them.

Hoping Munster can do us a favour, and keep us within touching distance of Ulster in the table for last HC spot. Daft maybe, but have to cling to something!

    !

Yea just looking at the weather forcast it look miserable weather up there thats why point spread is low.

l just done no tryscorer 16/1 with skybet.

l still have nightmares about this fixture from last year when Pieenar threw a stray pass in he last minute to bust my no try bet :mad:
l called him some names that night.

Final score Dragons 6 Lanelli 10. 5 missed penalties from the Dragons who I went for after looking at the Lanelli team

Another good night for me with 4 out of 6 bets coming good. What's the matter with Toulouse though - all of 30 of their points of their 30 - 15 win over Bayonne coming from the boot of Beauxis! :D

Harlequins against exeter looks like free money. I know they are missing Evans but half time full time 11/10 seems decent.

Too close to call for me. Exeter are going well and ran Harlequins damn close at the Stoop (19-13) back in October. Home advantage may be decisive.

Well another close game between Exeter and Quinns with the final score 9 -11 to Quinns - I even lost my 'safe' bet of more than 17.5 in the 1st half.
Some real bizarre results in the French Top 14 today, with Bordeaux hammering Stade Francais 39-6 and Lyon managing a 6 - 6 draw with star studded Clermont. I'm happy though as I escaped only €7 down on the day with a good day in prospect tomorrow. :D

6 tries so far each in a different game, also one try in each of his last three games

Gone for Madigan to score a try, I usually don't touch tryscorer bets but these were too good odds to pass up.

How are people feeling about this weekend?

Paddy Power have Dragons +2 at home to the Ospreys. While the Dragons are down the bottom of the table the Ospreys have only won once at Rodney Parade.

Glasgow are +11 away to Lanelli. Now Glasgow are third in the league, and their last defeat in the Pro12 was at home to Treviso in September (that's 8 games unbeaten). In their 4 HEC games they've only lost once out of the four games.

That would have been a cakewalk for Leinster except for the ref.

As a Tipperary man I embarrassed to say I've made a lot of money this season from backing Leinster to beat the cap and opposing Munster to do the same :o
