I think I've pinpointed Tuesdays as the day I'm most likely to be miserable. Wednesdays are good because I have Thursdays off and I can have fun Wednesday night and do nothing Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays are the weekend. Sundays are grand days for just relaxing, cleaning the house and being hungover. Mondays are strange in that they're pretty awful, but I'm resigned to the awfulness. I just grin and bear Mondays. But Tuesdays are truly horrible. All the awfulness of Mondays with none of the upsides of the other days of the week. And I can't even grin and bear it after doing so much grinning and bearing it on Mondays. Mondays and Tuesdays are grey days. And Tuesday is the greyest.

    Fcuk Tuesdays.

I think there's some statistic about Tuesdays being the day people are most likely to attempt suicide:( It's the day the monotony and crap really gets into their stride and you haven't psyched yourself up for it like Monday.

I am reluctant to post whining yet again about the work boy but I am hideously upset and cannot keep boring my flatmates. Feel like I've been made an absolute fool of. He hasn't called today, which I really thought he would (even though I wasn't sure I'd talk to him). I feel like I've been forced into this role of the stupid, over-involved girl who thinks it's all hearts and flowers and who keeps chasing when its clear someone isn't interested and I'm mortified at what his friends etc think the story is!

Why can't people just be honest? All I expected was a casual bit of fun with someone I liked for 2 months before I move...I didn't make him say all the stuff he did about how much he liked me and how he wanted to keep seeing me- that he'd come visit me etc! He totally led me on and I fell for it.

And I have two more days in work to see him! Just want to get through it with dignity intact.

Aw that's awful Das Kitty, it's so hard to lose a pet when they've been part of your life for so long. :(

    Stheno, congratulations!

Went househunting for my boyfriend today, it's his first time moving out of home properly and we found him a really nice flat. :) It's fun watching someone get so excited about being a grownup!

Losing a pet is horrible Das Kitty...I had to have one of the cats put to sleep last week as he was poisoned. Poor mite never had a chance - he was only 18 months old or so. His sister and my dog are lost without him :( Takes time to adjust alright, but laugh at the happy times you managed to have together....

So sorry to hear DK, it's never easy when you lose a dog.

I remember the day my dog (who I got when I was five) died, I was in work and my Mum collected me, she broke the news to me in the car, he had a tumor on his liver that burst and he was bleeding internally, the vet had to come out to the house to put him down, as he was in so much pain Mum couldn't bring him to the vet.

He was 15 and such a big part of my life growing up. They become a member of the family, and have such great characters. They love you more than they love themselves, and unconditionally.

What a great long life your dog had DK, so sorry for your loss xxx

    Sorry for your loss Wintersong.

Feel your pain DK, my dog died not so long ago. It's a horrible feeling.

The OH was out last night and thought it would be a nice gesture (since I was babysitting) to bring me home a battered Mars bar....Except he ate it on the way home.

    F'er. :D

Woke up with the sticky puffy eyes of the morning after a cry. Ick.

Also, there is no coffee in the building I work in this week as there are only about 20 of us in work. It's made me realise I have a caffiene problem because I'm sitting here and every five minutes I think about how I want a cup of coffee and strategies for attaining one. I suppose I would be more worried if I got off my arse and walked in the rain for a cup, but still. It's cutting into my thinking about sex every five minutes time. :pac:

I'm going back to my WW meeting this evening after 3 weeks off. Three weeks in which I went on holiday and then responded to the news that I have an iron deficiency by eating beef 6 days out of 7. Definitely have a few pounds on, so back to the meeting to get my game face on again.

Wellll I think I will have to get a general heart check, just to be reassured. Between my mum with her heart failure, and apparently now my sister has some sort of heart murmur that has to be checked out.

That's awful Ivy, hope she's all right. At least if it's identified now it can be monitored. I'm surprised they didn't check you during pregnancy with your family history.

My mum only found out what was wrong with her a week before I had the baby so I didn't know to get checked. She had been sick for about six months and doctors were saying it was either asthma or psychosomatic!

Wellll I think I will have to get a general heart check, just to be reassured. Between my mum with her heart failure, and apparently now my sister has some sort of heart murmur that has to be checked out.

All three of us in my family have heart murmurs, third one was only investigated recently, so dunno about him yet, but our two are benign, other brother only had his scan last week, so must go back to cardiologist. iirc about 25% of the adult population have them, and most are completely normal, its just a funny movement of blood in the heart - but its better to go and get checked anyway, given the family history.

My prize came in the post this morning, they rang me about 1ish yesterday, and obviously put it into the post straight away and I got it this morning. What baffles me is that post sent from the town less than 10 minutes away can take three of four days to get here, whereas post from far away is next day delivery??

It depends on where the sorting office is. IIRC, post from Sligo gets sorted in Athlone. So if you post a letter in Sligo to your next door neighbour, it goes to Athlone and then comes back...

Ivy, my mum had a heart murmur diagnosed about 3 years ago. Apparently they can go unnoticed for some time (62 years:rolleyes:) But, it's nothing to worry about. Hopefully your sisters is the same x
