Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

At one point in work we had 5 different types of coulis on the menu. That was a pain in the áss. My all time favourite is raspberry though #pastrychefproblems

If I may break the fourth wall here, can I just say that reading all the posts Hugsie deletes is highly entertaining. :P

Yah 1: Week off from work.
Yah 2: I made a chocolate cake last night, and while it didn't exactly come out exactly as I'd've liked (used too big a pan so it's flatter than it should be and our oven was too small and one tin fell off the shelf spilling everywhere so now it's a single layer cake) I'm still rather happy with it. The icing (just cream and chocolate chips) is gorgeous. :)

The football team I'm planning to join in France got back to me and said they'd be happy to have me training! They're playing in the Ligue de la Méditerranée 'Honneur Régional' division, which would be the equivalent to the Isthmian/Northern/Southern league in England. So the club is only four promotions away from national professional football, which is pretty cool!

Also sorted out my pre-season today! UCC aren't back until mid-August so I'm off to play with Blackpool Celtic, who have already beaten a Munster Senior League team in the shape of Youghal so no pressure! Their 'keeper is suspended until September 1st, and I'm leaving on August 30th, so seems like fate! XD

Kept a clean sheet in horrible conditions in my last game last season, though that was J3 so a big step down! Hoping this season I'll raise my game back to where it was a few years ago and kick on! :D

I didn't know we had our very own football star here in C&H.

If you ever get a shot with Remi Gallard we want to be the first to see

Oh and himself has finally started getting some replies on his job hunt which is awesome!

I used to think UPC was the dog's bollox but after getting Horizon at home, that idea is long gone. Awful routers.

I have had a pain in my back for the past two days. To make myself feel better, I've ordered my first ever Indian takeaway (I usually stick to pizza and boring stuff).

Let's see how this pans out. :P

Sweet zombie Jesus that was lovely. Expensive as f*ck, but totally worth it. :D

And it was delivered a full 25 minutes before it was scheduled to be, which is a nice change from the last place I ordered from which was two hours late. :pac:

Oh I'd no idea what anything was when I ordered, but recent events have made me realise life is too short to not try sh*t. I mean, I know it's only Indian food, but still. :P

I got a Beef Samsoa, which was basically a spring roll in a triangle shape and just as nice. Then a Chicken Aloo Masala which is chunks of chicken with chunks of potato in a really spicy sauce, and a cheesy naan bread for dippin'.

The only thing I'd any idea about was the naan bread and even that I'd never tasted before. :P

Biriyani is a pricey but safe choice if you're not mad about spicy food, I'm not. :P

But with lamb it's just lush. It's the sauce with it that's spicy.

Otherwise I just get a kebab. Even if sober. :D

I suck with spicy food so went for the nice safe option of a korma. The worst part about take aways here is they never include rice, so it ends up being pretty expensive :( delicious though!

Mine didn't include rice either, which is fine by me 'cos I'm not a huge fan of it.

I also found the portion to be just right. It's sort of small so when I looked at it first I was like "This cost a tenner?", but it turned out to be just the right amount so that you're full, but not stuffed to the point where you can't move like some Chinese places do give.

Having a nice reflective time this evening. I'm actually so happy I decided to move to london. It was without a doubt the right decision, I'm progressing with my career and making great friends along the way. And I also have a social life here, I think I've had more fun in the last four months in my new job than the last 8 months in my old job in Ireland. I also got news today that my best friend is coming to visit for 5 days in October so excited!

    So yeah life is good!
