Cheese and coleslaw sambos, coleslaw and chips ...... ohhh come on !!!!

My absolute worst is Cinnamon, it's pure concentrated evil...

I can taste when the smallest amounts are used, when people try to trick me it gets spat straight out!! They think I won't taste it or something...

    Xmas is a tough time...

Anything that's in any way rubbery or slimey, like oysters, or mushrooms :(

I agree. UGH. Slimy food revolts me. That includes egg whites.

I was served a breakfast course of pickled cow's tongue in aspic jelly with a slice of hard boiled egg once. That was tough going. Probably had to do with the litre of Belarussian vodka I had the night before though.

Apart from that, snotty eggs are the only thing that I don't like.

There's nothing I can think of that I wouldn't eat but I really hate green beans, I try to avoid them. I'm a bit picky about milk too, I only like it if it's out of a freshly opened carton, I can't drink it if it's been open for more than a few hours because it starts to taste weird.

Vodka, cheese, twix bars and duck

Co-incidently was sick after eating a twix bar (about 10 years ago) and still shudder at the sight of a twix wrapper.

Same with the duck... and I used to adore duck until last christmas! now I can't face it :(

Potatoes in all their many forms.

Think it's a hang-up from being forced to eat them when I was younger. I remember instances of the tears flowing and being close to gagging and my mother would still insist that I finish them.

Oh and also celery and parsnips eugh!

    Mushy Peas.

I love regular peas but mushy peas just taste of watered down pea ****e.

Ill eat anything and everything else though, the other day i had an olive stuffed with anchovies. SAVAGE!!

    I like eggs.
    I like baked beans.
Put them anywhere together on the same plate and I'll gag-really weird.
Also can't stand mashed potatoes, just feels wrong!!!

Brussesl sprouts, eyeballs, in that order. The foul stench of the brussels sprouts almost makes me want to barf.
Oh, edible birds nest is pretty revolting too.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "Food you just won't eat"?

Unless you have a serious allergy you can eat any food but because of taste issues, you won't.
It really bugs me when people say they "can't" eat something and it turns out that they just don't like it!

    Things I don't like:
Dill - can't stand it (the Mrs is the same).
Mushrooms - will eat in a stew or something but not as a main thing.
Tinned fish - tuna, sardines, salmon, anchovies. Euch!!
Offal - I'm not great with it, although I do like heart and paté.
Boiled eggs - I like an omelette but can't stand boiled eggs and am not crazy about fried or poached either.
I've really gone off creamy and buttery sauces and dishes.
Bananas - I wish I liked them but I can't stand the taste - love fried plantains.
Two things that I will eat but find really tacky are coleslaw and dried parsley:eek:
I really don't like 'fishy' things - I love fish plainly cooked but don't like fishy sauces.

I wish I could say I eat everything but I'm a bit of a fussy git, but considering I was unbelievably fussy until I was about 18, I'm doing pretty well.
The terrible thing is, I have no patience with fussy eaters!!

I wish I could say I eat everything

Meat, the smell and texture of it. Especially any of the fatty meats cooking. Roasting turkey turns my stomach.

Squishy bananas make me puke. I can't eat ripe bananas only green/yellow ones that are firm.

I like all vegetables though =)

I'm the same tbh. I remember when i first started going out with my girlfriend we were down in West Cork. I was having a seafood platter and asked her to try a mussel. She declined saying they were disgusting and looked like growth (or something stupid like that), i asked her had she ever tasted one and she said no. Ended up convincing her to try one because she likes fish in general.

She loved it and now trusts me completely. Even got her to eat an oyster, although she wasnt too keen. I can understand how the texture of an oyster wouldnt go down with some people. They really do look and feel awful in your mouth. Savage taste though. Especially with a pint of stout...

/runs to west cork for some fresh fish!!!

Melon has that same thing, and for that reason I can't eat any of them things. They actually make me violently ill. I can smell a piece of cucumber from about fifty yards.

Coriander too has some chemical in it that I react badly to.

I simply won't eat mushy peas.

Another thing that I hate is mango...I really am a bad eater, am normally vegetarian too but gave it up during my pregnancy as some of the foods that I normally eat were banned...back as a vegetarian again though.
