Just got up to date with Suits and it's now of my faves. Funny and well put together but not something you'd get emotionally invested in like Breaking Bad.

Follow Suits aswell...think its going downhill slightly tbh. Season 3 hasnt been as good.

Still its an easy watch i think.bit of humour here and there & pop culture references.

Week off work and I think I may actually venture outside today in the sun. Beautifully sunny morning for a jog. Watched the entire second half of the final season of Breaking Bad yesterday. Can't do the week to week thing.

How did ye all end up working for bookies in sunnier climes? Sounds all sexy and glamourous:) an image of James Bond in a Casino in Monaco comes to mind for some reason!

Nothing all that glamarous, it's office work, started out in the poker industry in Ireland, then got a job for an online poker company in Dublin, when they ran into a bit of trouble a load of us moved to Malta. Fairly awesome outside of work alright. Living in a 4 bedroom villa with a swimming pool in the back garden paying the same rent I'd be paying for some dump in Dublin.

Agreed, easy watch, always nice to see the bad guy get beaten etc, and a couple of steps above some of the awful sitcoms out there.

Havent' read any of the Game of Thrones books. Season 2 was almost over by the time I got into the show. I generally don't watch new shows myself. I wait until I hear they are good from friends and then watch the repeats or a box set. I'm up to date with Game of Thrones now though.

I only started Love/Hate last Christmas. Bought the three series box set and watched them over a few weeks.

With Boardwalk Empire, I haven't watched season 3 yet. I just finished watching Season 2 again which was repeated on Sky Atlantic. I was presuming they'd show Season 3 straight after it but they haven't yet and the repeat of Season 2 ended two weeks ago. I have heard that Season 3 isn't as good. I can't see Season 4 being shown over here for a while as I would think Sky Atlantic will repear all of Season 3 before they show it.

I used to do the same but ive grown so impatient that i just download/stream the new episodes the day after they air over in the states now! Couldn't believe how short the last season of GOT felt considering they were taking from two books for it!

Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire was good i thought, some good characters brought into it plus Nucky becomes a lot darker without giving anything away! Season 4 so far is already available online but i've got too into Ray Donovan for the moment to watch anything else although i wlll be jumping ship for the new series of Walking Dead whenever that's back... actually does anyone know when its due back??

I'm making keto-style pizza for the girlfriend and I tonight as it's our two year anniversary and she's embracing my new keto lifestyle with open arms :)

All this talk of cheese here seems appropriate.. as the BASE of the pizza is made of CHEESE! and almond flour.. :p

    c337qOOl.jpg

    The ingredients..
The bowl is cheddar and mozarella grated and mixed together.. You melt that in the oven/microwave and mix it all up with an egg and the almound flour.. You end up with a dough-like mixture.. Mixed in some garlic granules and flattened it onto a cold frying pan.. Fried it up until it was golden on both sides.. then into the fridge to chill ;)

One that is ready I will fry up some pancetta ham, chicken, mushrooms, and onions just so they're not raw before throwing it all on top of the pizza with the tomato and bacon flavour sauce, more mozarella, and parmesan cheese grated on top.. Bake until it looks like its browning and finish it off under the grill if need be ;)

    Can. Not. Wait.

Here's one that I made a couple of months ago, but this one has a base of Chicken. Yup, the entire base is made of chicken and cheese blended together. It was amazing.

Here's a random fact: my first cousin ran for Malta in the 92 Barcelona Olympics. She's a bit of a celebrity over there.

She married a Maltese National basketball player so they're the Posh and Becks of Malta!

It's very very cheap over there alright. Gozo is beautiful.

Yeah I've seen you over in the golf alright, I've become quite a fan since the ryder cup in 2006, only 15/16 then bless my cotton socks :pac: Usually have a flutter in the majors and broke even for the season with Dufner in the US PGA, Stenson e/w too :)

Would love to pick it up in the future as the only golf I'v ever played is of the crazy variety

Pick it up sooner rather than later Mr P, it's a lot harder to pick up than I thought. Was handy enough at sport, thought itd be a breeze and didnt think I'd like it.
Boy was I wrong on both accounts.
I started 3 years ago at 27, wish I got into it earlier.
Betting and the golf forum are not friends, the mods banned all gambling talk for a while but have now compromised by allowing one betting thread.
Which is fair enough, it gets flooded with crazies during the majors telling everyone their bets....... Like you :)

    Only messing ;)

Sounds like the life :) How's the weather over there this time of year? Myself and the girlfriend are hoping to get away for a few days around the midterm break. Most likely end up in west cork or Kerry, nothing wrong with that either but wouldn't mind heading somewhere warmer!

Haha yeah if anyone actually took my advice on bets then I'd get very worried :pac: Yeah I'll look into it alright but going to be pretty busy for the next year with my Masters and a 20/25,000 word thesis starting in May

It's pretty much the entire volume to be fair! Still not complaining about anything only that the last season seemed short for some reason... there was only 10 episodes in the last one considering how much they could have covered! Not back until next March either :(

I disagree, I think we'll only get to the end of book 3 by the end of season 4 for the most part. Parts of book 4 and 5 will get used but yeah I guess we'll find out.

Well no shorter than any other year, 10 episodes is all they can realistically afford to make a season. It's almost an impossible task to adapt the books into 10 hours a year but they've being doing pretty well so far. I just want the next book, probably another 2 years away yet though :(

Painful that GOT is only 10 eps per season when the standard nowadays is 13. Although HBO do seem to go for less now, season 2 of The Newsroom was only 9 eps.

    My fav TV shows though

    1 West Wing
    2 Sopranos
    3 The Wire
    4 Battlestar Galactica
    5 The Shield

Deliberately left out any shows still on or recently finished. Would most likely have the likes of Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones and Mad Men challenging strongly for a top 5 place

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

My favourite currently running or recently ended would read something like this:

    Drama: 1. BB, 2: GOT

Comedy: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The funniest show out there by miles.

Genre: Supernatural. Not too sure what I really make of The Walking Dead, it could be so much better in my eyes. Has anyone played the walking dead game by telltale? The story in that is brilliant.

As you can see my college education served me well :pac: Although I've slowed down in the last year, not able to keep up with everything like I used to.

Still well into the 20s but regular storms this time of year which are actually impressive and worth seeing. Average of 25C for October apparently but fairly nice till December. Ryanair fly regularly, well worth keeping an eye out for cheap flights.

    3. Breaking Bad
    4. GOT
    5. The Walking Dead

Also for those of you who enjoy a good series as much as myself this is worth a butchers

Defo agree with OZ and Rome both brilliant!
Cant see the humor in Curb Your Enthusiasm... my mate constantly raves about it but i find it irritating! Freaks & Geeks was good a few years back, very coming of age and with some early performances from a lot of current hollywood A-Listers!

That pizza looks the business :)

Cheese base, mixed with almound flour with a hint of garlic topped with tomato and bacon sauce, more mozarella, fried pieces of chicken, pancetta, mushrooms, onions and grated parmesan on top..

It was insanely filling! I had one slice and two pieces of broccoli and needed to take a long break before working my way through the second one!

Barely a carbohydrate in sight.. :)

All that glorious cheese cant be good though.... i was feeling sorry for myself the other day hungover and made nachos and cheese sauce, finished a whole pot off to myself and felt like crap for about two hours as it started to regurgitate... nice!:pac: such a delicously good idea at the time though!

Yes it probably could be considered a litle too much cheese. Although I had half the pizza so that would be 80g of cheddar.. and 120g of mozarella.. So about half a block of cheese total isn't too bad to be fair

Love Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. New series out now too. Not much to do here during the week so I watch a ridiculous amount of TV.

Never thought I would make it through an episode of Curb due to the fact that I hated uncomfortable humour, but loved it. Especially as its main improvised.

I'm avoiding all tv forums, you laugh you lose, facebook and basically anywhere with memes which might contain Breaking Bad spoilers. Am just on the end of the second season but playing catch up quickly.

On the plus side, I'm watching it by myself - there's no waiting for herself to watch it with me as she isn't interested in it!

By god, you'd know you're still in college....

Just do yourself a favour, when you finish the study and sit your finals, don't go thinking that's the end of it. A few years back some genius in the EU came up with this great idea of continued learning in the workplace.

It's great. Even when you pass all the exams related to your job or industry, they just introduce new ones.
