I got an email yesterday from Leo Varadkar's office about the Castleknock 5km on 21st June in the Phoenix Park. €20 to enter and proceeds are going to the stroke unit in Connolly Hospital.

Castleknock Educate Together National School's annual Summer Fair is on Sunday 28th between 12:30pm and 4pm.

I was going to post about this festival in the Strawberry beds, but I see the tradfest part is sold out. There may be other activities over the weekend though.

Mini leagues at Corduff sports centre. Deadline for registration is tonight from 6pm to 8pm. Mini leagues run from the 18th, 6pm to 8:30pm Monday through Friday, with finals on Sunday the 24th.

Different groups for 4 +5 years, 6 , y, 8, 9, 10, 11,12 and 13 years.

European Day of Languages 24 September 2016
The Europe Direct Information Centre, Blanchardstown Library and the European Commission Representation in Ireland will host the European Day of Languages 2016 on the 24th of September.
The event will be a Language Café offering 9 languages: Irish, French, German, Spanish and Italian as conversation and Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian and Latvian as Taster Classes.
Teachers from the Ambassade de France, Gaelchultúr, Goethe Institut, Instituto Cervantes, Instituto Italiano di Cultura, Embassy of Latvia, Embassy of Lithuania, Embassy of Poland and Embassy of Romania have kindly agreed to participate.
It will start at 2pm and refreshments will be served afterwards.

The information on facebook is for the parents information only - kids don't need facebook account. Kids will need their own laptop on the day though and a parent to stay with them if they are young.

Perfect for sticker and trading card fans, the October Festival will offer children and parents the opportunity to enjoy a range of fun-filled activities with their favourite collectibles and characters as it stops by Blanchardstown Centre on 8th October between 10am and 4pm.

Those who are fans of Premier League Match Attax, WWE, Trolls, Shopkins and Star Wars will find lots of fun activities and games taking place at the Topps Festival, alongside surprise character appearances and amazing giveaways.

Meanwhile, fans of Match Attax, the official Premier League Trading Card Game, can try their luck in a challenge to take on the master in a game of stats, tactic and skill to win a special Match Attax master card.

Plus, visitors can get football freestyle tips from record-breaking super-star, Dan Magness, and enter exclusive football-tastic giveaways.

La Leche League Breastfeeding Support Group is a voluntary organisation providing information and support to women who want to breastfeed their babies. It hosts a mother-to-mother meeting on the 2nd Friday of every month at 10.30am. The October meeting will take place on 14th. Babies of course are welcome.

Fingal Volunteer Centre will be in the library on the last Wednesday of every month from 3.30pm—4.45pm(October 26th).

Castleknock Art Group would like to invite you to come and support our 7th Exhibition!
Opening night Sat 29th Oct 6-9pm
Sun 12.30-6pm and Mon 11-5pm
There will be over 200 paintings from various artists for sale.
There will be beautiful Hand Crafts for sale.
We will be running a coffee shop with tasty home bakes also for sale.
All proceeds will go directly to our chosen charities -Pieta House and Chronic Pain Ireland.
