Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know if there has been any further discussions/progress regarding any of these proposals to build a snowdome in Ireland? I say we hit up the chap who owns Tayto Park to build one!

Centre Parcs might be a better option, they seem to have loads of money.

If Fattes was still around he could give a full update but to my knowledge most of the ones in the UK struggle to make a profit. I'm sure one here would have the same struggles if not more. One in Northern Ireland might be a better bet, but that's just a guess I would love to see one on this island. Have traveled multiple times just to visit UK and Dutch fridges.

I actually thought that was an April Fools, but still in the news today so looks like there's some truth in it!!

I would travel anywhere in the island of Ireland for a snowdome! Prefer Dublin though :-)

Well my company is now developing a massive manufacturing plant on the site that was last proposed for the Snowdome.. I have mixed feelings / thoughts on this. Heart says Snowdome, head says salary

    Spoilsports :(

Doubt Ireland has the population to support a snowdome anyway. Most of them look awful too, 150 mtrs long, or so. The only one you could use, and stay sane, would be Landgraff.

Wow, the Landgraff one looks amazing! Stop being negative everyone - let's get our ****ty Irish version and be happy with it! :-)

Isn't there some sort of a slippery thing in Cork that opened a few years back?

Edit: yes, here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB9j5gUfrTQ#t=12

Not a bad option for learning cormee, but not quite the fix for an experienced snowboarder ;-)

Doesn't take long to tire of Landgraff but I would still make the most of an indoor facility if there were one here so long as a few hours didn't cost the same as a day pass on a mountain. An hour in Tamworth snowdome costs £29.

Slowest chairlift I've ever been on in Landgraff.

I hate the way this thread says [Merge] in the title. It's bugging me.
