Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Welcome to the Nocturnal Forum!

    This is a thread especially for new nocturnals to introduce themselves.

    The nocturnal forum is for anyone who lives life outside of the normal parameters of 9-5 or has that slightly different world view of those that live slightly outside of the normal scheme of things, and all the things that effect them, be it funny, serious, flippant or spooky.

    All are welcome here. Most posters are insomniacs or shift workers, or those who seem to enjoy solitude and the dark a little more than usual.


    In case you think you cant post here in the daylight hours, it is always night somewhere! the Nocturnal forum deals more with the mindset than the literal night hours.

    You will find that most irish posters however will still only post at night.

    This forum is here as a resource for all, feel free to post.

    Your friendly neighbourhood Mods are myself, SDooM, Nerin, and Kharn.

    Might as well help break this thread in. Still a newbie to this forum, only started posting here yesterday.
    Have a regular 9-5. Find myself staying up late over the last few weeks. Seems like the right place to be. Reasonably painless posting so far.
    That could be an oversight on the regular posters.:D

    I don't mind money spiders but those things with a raisin for a body are not nice!

    Well workwise I'm supposed to be writing a funding application for loadsa money but Boards has pretty much killed that one tonight. :(

    My devoted daughter (Ha! to be said Edna Krabopel-like) is on a three week drama camp, her lil bro is missing her like crazy and has spent the evening trying to find new and evermore exciting ways of making my hair grey. The latest was waiting til i was using the bathroom before unlocking the front door and escaping onto the road. Ah children, the joy! He's two years old btw and seems to be a Houdini in minature.

    Interests are currently on hiatus but I love to cook and to run. Unfortunately i spend more time on the former so I really need to get back into the latter.

    When you say film is it making it or watching it? I did my degree in film and adored the process but unfortunately a newborn and 5.30am crew calls didn't mix so i knocked it on the head. But i can still strip a 16mm Arriflex and reload it in the dark inside one minute.;)
