Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wow, Bowe back to his best

Murray justifying selection, immense in defense

SOB resembling David Pocock at the break-down

DOC is having a cracker too, he might not be there on form but he's been huge today

Funny how a week or two changes things. Credit to Murray, playing much better than last week.

Great point by Keith Wood on BBC, basically saying when Ireland play with this intensity, they can beat anyone but fans are frustrated they cannot get that intensity up more often.

Apart from 1 missed kick Sexton has been immense.

Even after the NFL season is over, T.Bowe is still doing the business.

    I'm here all day folks!

The ominous feeling of a massive French second half is depressing. Hoping we see some more awful French play.

    Or me :pac:

Nevermind Sexton/Bowe playing good, the whole team is! :D

    'HON IRELAND!!!

Excellent hands from Earls to give Bowe the extra half yard to take on Fofana. We wouldn't have seen that 6 months ago. His hands have really come on since he focused on 13.

    Good work from him

Sexton Ferris and DOC are like a choke tackle triple threat team

O'Brien and Ferris have been brilliant in the backrow

Worth noting how solid midfield is with Earls and Darcy.

Puts paid the notion of the numerous posters saying we would be "destroyed" and "annihilated" by the french midfield

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Cant believe people are saying we've been dominated. We really havent. We've dominated at the breakdown, and apart from 2 or 3 linebreaks from them we've been comfortable enough. Lots of work to do still all the same.

Have we ever been in the lead in Paris at half time in the 6 Nations? Don't think so

Yeah, like they did against Scotland.

Ireland need to keep this intensity up!

Amazing game so far. The Irish forwards are battling for everything. Totally unexpected performance.

Looking at it again, Bowe should really have passed inside for that second try ... but feck it, when it's your day you tend to get the bounce!

I've been watching the 6Ns in France, on French TV for the last 20 years.
They (the french commentators) are great men for blaming the 'ref for their woes. Its a national sport
Today, for the first time that I can remember they have said that the 'ref is being kind to them! On three seperate occasions!!.
Galthie even said twice he would have "blown" the other way when Pearson pinged Ireland what_smile.gif

    6-17

    Somebody pinch me laugh.gif

If only we beat Wales last month we could be on course for the grand slam (we were a min away :mad:)

I think it's wales grand slam now, they have 2 home games against Italy and France

  • Registered Users Posts: 219 ✭✭Randy Anders

1st score in the 2nd half could be vital. If we go up and get 3 on the board, we're in with a huge shout

    C'mon Lads!

Apart from not binning Healy, he's given us very little, even the one he penailsed Murray for not putting it into a moving scrum, wtf was that about??

I dunno...I think he waited perfectly, the defender thought he was going to past and shifted his weight, then the space opened and Bowe had to go himself.

So far so good but there was a spell in the first half where we stood off them in defence and they made yards for fun. If we do that in the 2nd they will be right back into the game. Great performance from the pack so far.

Pearson is a terrible ref, but at least he's terrible for both teams.

He certainly doesn't seem to be favouring the French.

Think we need to bring on Ryan and POM around the 55 mark. We'll need the added intensity to keep on top. Any time we were any way hesitant in defense, France gained ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Darce is such a scamp at the breakdown

Good tackle by Trimble - very poor play by France leaving them be pushed over the line

    Cmon Ireland!
