I've been to see 3 different tarot readers in Cork:

1. Annette Singleton - she was very nice but I wasn't blown away by the reading. I thought it was a bit general and vague. She did mention one or two things that will happen so I'll haveto wait and see. I was with her for about 40 minutes and she charged €50.

2. I went to the Psychic and Holistic Fair in Cork recently and I went to a tarot reader there called Ivan. I wasn't at all convinced by him. I felt as though he was just reading the meanings straight from the cards - kind of like what you could do yourself if you looked them up on the internet. He said stuff that I didn't think was really applicable to me and I didn't feel he made any predictions / observations that were helpful. The charge was €50.

3. Veronica in Blackpool - I'm afraid, once again, I felt it was all a bit vague. She did say a family member is going to die which I didn't like as I had specifically asked her at the start of the reading not to tell me anything bad. Anyway, as the reading was pretty vague, I'm not too worried about that prediction. I'd be much more concerned about this if she had been spot on about other stuff. She charged €50 and I was with her for about 25 minutes.

Co-incidentally, both Annette and Veronica saw one thing in my cards that I cannot make sense of. It was interesting that they both saw the same thing but I don't think it's a big deal in any event.

Bottom line is I've been looking for some direction in a particular area of my life and, unfortunately, I don't think any of the readings has helped. In fact, Veronica and Annette said two distinctly opposite things about this area so who knows?

I'll post again if anything they said happens but I doubt it will.

Hope this is helpful to anybody looking for a reading. I'm giving all this tarot reading stuff a rest now!

One girl found it weird how he lay down on the bed opposite her in the chair while he did the reading. He was going on about his background as a "master baker" before he began the reading, btw. When she asked him if he could really contact the dead (and she said she wasn't being smart - just genuinely curious), he became defensive and yanked out a magazine from his bedside drawer, in which there was an article about him. Apparently that article was concrete validation of his irrefutable mediumistic abilities. :rolleyes: He told her he was also well acquainted with, and championed by, some local nun whose name I can't remember atm.

As for the actual reading, he was telling her that her aura was green (wOw), that he could see a shop counter around her (and did this mean anything? No, it didn't, save for her doing a bit of shopping like most people do), and that he was getting an old lady who had died from a prolonged illness but who was happy in the spirit world now, etc, etc. But, essentially, he asked her more questions than he related information to her without being 'assisted'. She wasn't impressed by any of it but she paid him at the end. I'd say she should have put the reading to bed and declined to pay 10 minutes into the whole thing, but too little too late. She said his personality was domineering and that he more-or-less 'intimidated' her into going with the flow of the reading. I think she paid something like 60 or 70 Euros for the reading. I might be remembering this wrong, but it was definitely no less than €50.

Either way, I don't like the sound of him myself but if there are people out there who do get some joy or fulfillment out of his readings, then great.
