Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was always on the list but never got around to buying it in the end unfortunately. Going by the Saturn game prices I'd hate to see what it's worth now.

I think I posted a pic of it running on the Aero, but that was via a Jammacon, Saturn and a dodgy disc :pac:

Super Metroid, Japanese version, for €40
I'm sure there's some bargaining to be done.

Or just buy it direct from Japan, have it shipped half way around the world, all for a cheaper price - http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Super-Famicom-Super-Metroid-Japan-SFC-F-S-/231923861808?hash=item35ffbd4930:g:uJoAAOSwl9BWGghP

Also, the Japanese version is the definitive one to buy - it's 60Hz, isn't overpriced as you can see from the link, no German subs, & has a complete English language option in game.

Collecting the pin today. Going to take a look at the cabs while there, see what boards are in them etc.

picked up the pin earlier, needs work, but was worth it i think. its powering up.

The electrocoin works perfect now. he was missing a kettle lead and didnt know about the power button etc.

The racer powers on now too, but the rgb cable has come off the chasis and needs to be soldered back on. couldnt tell if it had other issues.

he is gonna re-list them, probably for more than what he was looking for when he thought they didnt work. nice guy to deal with though.

Is the board in the racer Outrun by any chance or did ya get to look or ask? Looks like a mini Outrun cab converted.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,390 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

ooh it does look like a turbo outrun cab , i never looked at the board, but it was in there, on the back of the door when it opens. two layer pcb by the looks of it, i never thought of looking at the board to see what was on it. the gear stick does have sega on it, and the cab shape is a turbo outrun with converted artwork on it. it kinda threw me because the artwork is supersprint on the marquee.. i think, but the gear stick was sega.

it powered on, red light lit up on the board. no sound, no monitor action but the rgb cable needed soldering back onto the chassis.

Ok cool, thanks. I'm pretty sure its a mini version of the original Outrun. Same curved dashboard setup with green start button. Should have red Sega stencilling on the side too. The bezel seems to be missing. I think Outrun is a 2 layer on the door alright. Hmm interesting!

Kinda does look a bit like this.

    ormini4.jpg

Maybe it's an Electrocoin version of a mini outrun (seeing as he has a Xenon too). I've seen them do weirder things.

    Mozie strikes again :)

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,390 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

it was a sega gear stick anyways, because it has sega engraved in it. it looks the same shape as that cab alright, but different artwork and missing bezel. if it was in an arcade they could have got a kit to rebrand it as a super sprint or something, i think that marquee is supersprint, its like there would have been two of those cabs beside each other with the super sprint marquee spread over the two of them. I should have checked it more but to be honest i just wanted the pin! pcb is on the back of the door though and if it is outrun its worth the money.

    Rusty Gold!

I loved that game also. Gets repetitive after a while but its absolute carnage.

Very nice looking FPS for a PS2 Game.

Not exactly a bargain, but CEX have x4 copies of Twilight Princess on the Gamecube listed - https://ie.webuy.com/product.php?sku=045496963071

€75 blips, while not exactly for nothing, it's a certainty to go up in price as time goes by.

Yeah all the cube games got a price hike. They were being bought within seconds online by flippers and competitors.

Dunno if they have the balance right though, seems to have hit the opposite extreme, from noone being able to get their hands on certain games to now having multiples in stock.

Speaking of...has anyone got a copy of FROGGER BEYOND for the 'Cube?

I had a lot less games than I thought. I thought I had around 30 :( I have no idea what their worth is to be honest. I was going to drop them into RAGE but was convinced otherwise by you fine folk.

    Nintendo GBA:SP ags101 model.
New case, no idea if it's any good but I find 3rd party cases for Nintendo handhelds seldom satisfactory.
And this person is looking for a steep €75, which would be my top price to spend on one in its original case, rather than a 3rd party one.
    I'd be thinking less

75 is actually an ok price for a 101 these days. If anyone buys it one here, I have a full original casing (Pink!) for a 101 that's free to take!

Is that you offering €100 already? I'll give it to the highest bidder on Friday. I'm surprised the by the amount of interest. I suppose Battletoads is somewhat in demand?

To think what I used to have; Secret of Mana, Terranigma, Secret of Evermore, Super Metroid to name just a few.

You can't offer over asking on adverts. And you can't raise your price either. Also, eBay is where people can bid on stuff
