Labour are in a mess now. The only Senior Minister who gave Roisin Shortall any support was Leo Varadkar (of Fine Gael). All the back Benchers wanted Gilmore to fight her corner.

They are split down the middle, Front Bench v Back Bench.

I can't take Ursula seriously at all since the Mario sketches. She is so melodramatic and OTT.

'He didn't abandon the criteria, he just broadened it'

That could have been lifted from 'Yes Minister'

Well, one thing is certain, it won't be Enda Kenny or Eamon Gilmore because they are too spineless to appear on the show.

Phil Hogan must be delighted with Roisin Shortall's timing. This will probably knock him off the Front Pages tomorrow.

It might take him off the front pages but I'd imagine that there are more than a few Labour backbenchers who will be gunning for him and Dr. Reilly, now that they have lost Shortall.

PITA is forever dragging out of fellow guests. Pee off PITA

The Big Phil story was gone from the front pages before it even got there tbh

Why doesn't James Reily appear on VB??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

Somewhere in all this the Government should have had a rare good news story - They are opening more Primary Care Health Centres than originally planned.

But they have somehow turned it into a shambles which has seriously shortened the life expectancy of this Coalition.

Labour are now like FG's used condoms. No one will ever touch them again.

Enda and he have better things to be doing, like watching filth whilst in the vatican on his phone, and putting things on lists that shouldn't be on the list - stuff like that.

I'd say he has been advised not to by FG advisors.

It was only in the Daily Mail today (they had an exclusive), it would probably have been the main story in The Independent and The Times tomorrow which would have given the story momentum.
