Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very impressive running by Defar in the womens 5k to come home in a world leading of 14:26, she really burned them of in the last 400. BBC have a clock counting down to Bolts appearance. I wonder has Tim Hutchins left Eurosport, I like him as a commentator.

Laura Crowe is in the 800 at 8.20, she done well to get a diamond league race.

Great running by Crowe, came in home in a new PB of 2.02.69, previous PB was 2.04.30.

Warching a lot of athletics on tv recently, get to wondering what events do people prefer to watch on tv. For me, it would have to be
    1) pole vault/ high jump
    2) 100/200
    3) hurdles
    4) 400/800
    5) 1500/5k/10k/sc
    6) Lj/tj
    7) throws (sorry, much better live than on tv IMO)

Gay ran a 9.79. He hasn't been this good in a few years. Unreal. Surely come Moscow in a championship race he can drop a low 9.7?

After falling out with his country's Olympic officials for an unsanctioned meeting with his wife at a London hotel, Collins was dropped from the Saint Kitts and Nevis team before the 100m heats at the London 2012 Olympic Games - wikipedia

Didn't get it, but it was a legal time. Chambers in his semi ran a 10.02 with a gust of 3.4 metres behind him.

Good news for armchair athletics fans. Hopefully, Beeb will continue to broadcast Diamond League as well.

    From BBC Sport:
"UK Athletics confirm that British Athletics events will continue to be shown on terrestrial television through to 2020 following an extension to the current broadcasting rights agreement with the BBC.
The deal ensures that British Athletics' grand prix events like the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games and high profile domestic events such as the Sainsbury's British Championships will continue to be broadcast on free to air television, giving the sport an enviable broadcast platform in the years building up to and beyond the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London."

Athletics on BBC now. I thought I was hearing things when I heard Gabby Logan mention that Mo broke Cram's PB over 1500 meters, as well as the European record. Had to check it out, and yes, he went sub 3 mins 29. That is unreal. Where did that come from? Sort of mocks Cram and Ovett and Coe. All 800/1500 speedsters, yet a 5 k and 10 k specialist betters them. Wow!

diamond league from Stockholm on bbc 3 at 7, not sure what to expect so close to the world champs.

What a strange 800 race. That Montano woman is a funny runner. After the blow up at World Champs, she seemed to be running smarter tonight only to make her challenge in lane 4, even 5. What the heck? Why would you do that? She obviously loses some advantage by straying that wide and then barely loses in the end!
Pacer didn't help at 600mts mind.

weird alright, I couldn't believe the way the pacemaker just slammed on the brakes in the middle of the track, I was expecting a pile up. very strange.
