Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought it might be better to have one thread, particularly for travel and ticket discussions!

Ticket prices are out: €22 to €85.

    - Ganay CAT 1: 85 €.

    - Ganay CAT 2 : 75 €.

    - Ganay CAT 3 : 55 €.

    - Virages CAT 3 : 55 €.

    - Virages CAT 4 : 44 €.

    - Virages CAT 5 : 33 €.

    - Virages CAT 6 : 22 €.

    http://www.rctoulon.com/en/news/article/billetterie-toulon-munster/

Toulon STHs are getting a first refusal sale this week in the local RCT stores and then there will be a general sale. It doesn't look like it will be online.

Will it be very difficult to get tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Looks like MRSC members will get 2 each, but I'll need 3.

    Edit: Ignore the above!

If any of you are feeling ambitious the H Cup Final tix are still on sale over at the WRU website. Severe shortage of accom in Cardiff/Bristol area though.

An alternative route I looked at for getting to Cardiff is fly to Birmingham (was ~€40) and its a 2hr bus to Bristol then, 40min train to Cardiff.

Anyways, hopefully that becomes a headache for all Munster supporters.

Ryanair and aer lingus are gonna take all their money for the semi final. 300 for flights alone. Ouch.

Have an Associate Membership with no ST, hoping there will be some left over after the season ticket holders get their tickets....

Day charters are going to be in the region of €400, one night will be about €550

According to twitter Aer Lingus doing a flight from Dublin

If Munster get 15,000 tickets, the problem is surely going to be transport rather than availability of tickets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Sorry everyone, I don't fecking read. The two tickets only apply to STHs. But I'd say there will be an allocation for non STHs.

    Yeah thats what I thought.

Anyone have any idea on what would be the best/cheapest route to Marseille?

Flying to Lyon and getting the train would be one option.

If anyone has access to tickets but doesn't want them, I'm looking to go to this and chances of getting them locally are very slim.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,899 ✭✭✭✭Riskymove

People should bear in mind that its very unlikely we'll take a full allocation

I think there will be plenty on general sale given a 41,000 capacity

Book the trains in advance! I can't stress it enough.

MRSC has an initial allocation of 2,500 tickets (this is in addition to tickets going through clubs)

    going on sale tomorrow

Very tempted...... I'm guessing that we won't sell our full allocation tbh. But flights are an extortionate rate. If I can't afford a ST, can I really justify scrabbling cash together to go to Franc? Hmmm

Match tickets booked. Now, how the hell do we get there..

Only made the semi last season due to a buddy who was willing and able to "drive" from Barcelona <-> Montpellier at approx. 516mph* with five of us crammed into the car. He's not going this year so..

    * exaggerating, for comic effect.

Nice is definitely the best option. Would love to, but it's looking more likely to be a day-trip. (Which I hate. If we lose, it's a loong day of travelling. If we win, you really, really want to stay. And that's if there's no delays and you actually get to see the game!)

Flying to Rodez (3hours away) -> Hiring a Car -> Staying in a Formule 1 Hotel (€24 for the room, 3 of us in the room) -> Driving to Carcasonne after the match (3 hours) -> Staying in a Fomule 1 Hotel (€19, 3 of us in the room) -> Driving to Biarritz (3 hours) on Monday and flying out at 17:30.

    All in about €130 per-person Flights/Accom/Car Hire

    Now just need tickets.

Glorified Hostel. Cheap as chips. A bed a sink and a TV. Jacks and Showers are down the hall.

Still very clean and at €24 for the room you cannot complain.

Wish i was able to do this id be willing to try this route

Craig Burden and David Smith are not included in Toulon's squad travelling to Bordeaux Begles. Wilkinson is injured. The lineup will be named tomorrow, I think it's time for Bryan Habana to finally get a run! Toulon lost 41-0 at the Chaban-Delmas last year (same ground that held Clermont-Leinster 2012).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,576 ✭✭✭bennyl10

    Tickets sorted!

went Cat 6.. probably be awful seats, but being there will be enough!

Which are people finding id the cheapest way to get there? flights with ryan/aer-lingus or the chartered tour crowd?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,127 ✭✭✭colman1212

Man I love these threads. Over in Oz at the moment but used to love the scramble to get tickets and flights for the munster games and taking all sorts of ridiculous routes.
For the 2008 final I remember flying to manchester, renting a car and driving to cardiff, and sleeping in the boot of a car in some rugby club in cardiff. Top Bants!

It's worth it! A lot of the money raised goes to the academy as well. I'd rather give €30 to the academy than a cent to Ticketmaster.

3 x €50 tickets through MRSC is €152.50 (€2.50 transaction fee added to total).

3 x €50 tickets through Ticketmaster is €164.85 (€4.95 fee per ticket added to total).

I assume all the people giving out about Toulouse allowing people to buy up to 20 tickets for the QF will now be apoplectic with rage that Munster fans can buy up to 50 tickets for the semi.

    Let's see.
