Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kilkenny got 13k due to minors, Limerick got 3k, Tipp got 10k. Every county gets tickets so then around 32k or so between the other 29 counties.

Here's a breakdown from a few years ago, figures have changed a bit since with more season tickets also.

    County allocations: 58,401
    Provinces: 335
    Overseas: 470
Central Council and former Presidents: 798
    Camogie: 120
    Ladies’ football: 150
    Rounders and handball: 147
    Sponsors: 935
Press: 254 (we want some of these)
    TV and radio: 74
    Schools and educational bodies: 2,229
    3rd Level: 240
    Croke Park residents: 250
Match officials and national referees’ panel: 103
Irish Sports Council and health bodies: 60
Match day / Vertigo / minor teams: 148
    GAA staff and sub-committees: 718
    Jubilee teams: 68
    Mini-sevens: 244
    Term tickets: 4,144
    Season tickets: 1,884

The above doesn't include premium or corporate tickets.

You'd be amazed where tickets would go.

Hi there, Kilkenny got 11,700 tickets. Originally were allocated 13000 but as there are 1300 season ticket holders in KK, the GAA reduced the allocation to 11, 700. I guess kK really got 13000, so much for having a season ticket.

Tipp have one of the highest number of season tickets also, so our 10k is reduced more then for distribution. Didn't think that was included in the figure and was seperarate.

All the more reason to have one as if you don't you're vying for a reduced number of tickets.

Indeed. Looking forward to the build up now and the game itself. Best if luck to both teams, expecting a cracking final with two great teams. More tickets will pop up later next week as always.

Would there be any tickets still on general sale for the Football final or is the only way to get them through something like this now?

No general sale. Season ticket holders, premium ticket holders, corporate boxes, GAA staff and committees and lastly clubs (pretty sure that's all the official channels covered) are how they are distributed.

What about the ones that Centra and Supervalu sell? Or do they not get final tickets?

Do the clubs in KK and Tipp get the tickets cheaper or is it the same as other counties?

Looking for 2 tickets either all ireland final, slight preference for the football. never been to one and looking like I won't be living in ireland for too long more so could be last chance for quite some time
Don't care what section they are for, been to plenty early season games, quarters and semis but never an intercounty (1 all ireland club final)

They'll be knocking around the pubs at face value before throw in on Sunday, don't panic.

In 2012 (football final) I walked half of Dublin and all popular pubs from early til before throw in, and couldn't get a ticket. People were saying it was the first year that tickets were hard to come by. Not sure why? Will this year be any different?

Sorry I was just talking about the Hurling, Donegal and Mayo's appearance in the final would be a different matter.

Hello all, I'm an American (with Irish roots - last name is Baynes) that will be traveling to Ireland, for the first time, in a few weeks. I'm looking to purchase one ticket to the football final. I don't arrive in Dublin until late in on September 20th, so I will likely need to meet you in Dublin on the day of the match. If you can help, please PM me. Thanks!
