Hey! Has anyone get any experience of staying in studentaccommodationmaynooth? The place on the Moyglare road? Or does anyone know of any apartment blocks for accommodation next year? I don't know Maynooth that well so I need a bit of help for finding accommodation for next year.
    Thanks for your help!

Anyone interested in renting out a twin room? Its not far from the college and the rent is 85 euro. The twin room has an ensuite. Can you let me know asap because the landlord wont rent the house out to me until I fill the twin room. Thanks :)

I'm not answering your question so sorry about that but they sound like a bit of a scumbag to be honest. It's not your responsibility to find them tenants. Plenty of landlords rent out twin rooms separately.

That's not necessarily true. Most landlords rent out full houses and not by individual room which is what it sounds like this guy is doing. Presumably he wants to know that the room is filled so he can be reassured that he's more likely to be paid the full rent.

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh, Maynooth is a landlords market anyway, they can be picky who they rent to and in what circumstances as there are students cueing up for houses anyway. It is still a bit cheeky to ask a prospective tenant to find another tenant for them though. If the house is near to the college, the landlord is nearly guaranteed to have it full anyway.

Please tell me there's still places that aren't advertising? All the houses on student pad are gone already! Does anyone know of any other housing list? Would it be worth my while going to an estate agent? I'm desperate, I live in mayo there's no way I can commute next year!!

Looking for a guy to share a twin room in Cluain Aoibhinn in September for the full year. It's about 15 minutes walk to the college and only 5 minutes walk to the train. The rent is 80 euro a week. Would be living with four guys and one girl. The house has a flat screen tv, an electric shower and FIFA!!

Anyone have any rooms or houses going? Will be going into 1st year in September. PM me if you do. Or is anyone interested in renting a house with me? Looking for 3/4 people?

Lads good luck finding accommodation at this stage! would hate to be in your shoes :/ If you can try student pad but I think you need to be a registered student to use it, not 100% sure! also try places in Kilcock and Lexlip because they're not far away and there is regular regular trains and buses :)

What is the average going rate for rooms in a shared house in Maynooth these days?

Either single room or shared twin.

Been a while since I rented down there and have someone who will be going to NUIM who is interested.

    Thnx in advance.

Hi, I'm a 24 year female professional looking to rent a house with someone. I'm a smoker, laid back easy going. Looking for someone similar to get a house with. Pm me if interested :-)

Maynooth seems to be a half-dead rental market, especially for uni staff. I'll be working there shortly and am looking for a family house. Any tips appreciated.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,042 ✭✭✭zl1whqvjs75cdy

Its not dead its full to bursting with most houses already spoken for till June next year. You might be better off looking in Celbridge, Leixlip or Kilcock. Though the first two are jammed too with Intel workers. Its a popular place to live right now.

Double room available above Manor Mills. For people that don't know the area, that is on top of a shopping centre bordering/between north & south campuses. €480 per month for a single person or €600 per month for a couple. No pets or smokers. PM for enquiries.

Looking for accommodation for September and it's proving more stressful than expected!
The student pad doesn't open until the 1st but I was wondering where exactly is the best place to live in Maynooth? For parties, socialising, people who like to go out?

I've applied to campus but only got onto the lottery list so my chances are slim :(
I've heard about Kingsbury in particular, any reviews?
But aside from that, where on earth do you apply for these places?

1st year prospective Frobel student btw, all help appreciated! :)

Whats the chances of getting a house for next year? Are they slim? Should i start looking for a room in a house? Or will houses become available in august?

Better chance now than when you have to compete with desperate 1st years in August.

Anyone know if theres likely to be much accommodation becoming available soon?? Theres literally nothing out there, there hasnt been a House share put on Daft in 7 days. And nowhere is renting to students, whats the deal...I mean if theres nothing at all left where will all the first years live?? The College dont seem to care at all.

I think it'll only get worse after August tbh :-/ :-S Just in case you don't know maynoothstudentpad.ie/Students is a website Maynooth set up for students. It's a bit better than Daft but there's still hardly anything :-/ P.S if you're looking for someone to share a house dm me, I'm desperate too! ;-)

Not trying to be snide but I think there's maybe one estate within 10 mins walk of the campus, most of it is a bit further than that. (Like 15-20 minutes) . Some is also bleeding miles away (like 30 minutes), but at this stage of the year I'd suggest beggars can't be choosers.

The main issue I'm conserned about is to share with 1st years as I'm the only one from my area hoping to go to Maynooth and I want to be able to make friends with other first years.,, 10-15 minute walk dosent bother me much it's just that I'm afraid that I will have no chose but to live with students who are not in 1st year

Yeah but that doesn't mean that you won't make friends. 2nd or 3rd years are just as friendly as first years and on the plus side they know the college so can be helpful :P You will make plenty of first year friends in your lectures anyway so it doesn't really matter who you live with imo.
