Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In the team based on history. Next season I don't think he'll be a permanent fixture.

    Silly comment tbh

Stuart Barnes is an arsehole. That pass from Healy would have been genius had it paid off.

Stupid thing to attempt. No need whatsoever

Game will open up in the second half

    Still think Leinster will win

Leinster need to wake up, the last 15 minutes have been especially terrible.

"Cullen does not add nearly as much positive any more". That's probably a better way of phrasing it.

Clemont flanker interfering with Healys arm during the scrum?

a stupid backhanded pass to no one in particular in your own half on the back foot?

Get real, it was a stupid pass

Sexton is having a shocker today! Most of the rest of the team are no better!

Healys arm was on the ground!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,673 ✭✭✭Borders no.2

These two penalties could be decisive. 6-6 would have been a great score for Leinster given how under the cosh they've been. 12-6 in such a tight game will be tough.

Leinster have it all to do, lineouts, kicking game and scrum have all been below par.

Leinster must get 1st score of 2nd half to keep in touch.

should not be on the ground

He looks slow and laboured and could give away a penalty anytime he's involved.

He doesn't add nothing but his time is nearly up at this level IMO.

Reality starting to bite. Leinster are really missing McLaughlin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Score beginning to reflect Clermont's superiority on the pitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,279 ✭✭✭ongarite

Clermont looking good for the win IMO. This feels like the Toulouse away game so far.

I would bring on Reddan straight away.

Healys arm was on the ground though, holding himself and the scrum up.

Hand was on the ground as he had dropped the bind. I don't know if what the flanker did was legal, but Clermont deserved a penalty anyway.

That's bread and butter stuff to Leinster and they had an overlap had it gone to hand. Like any ambitious move you look like a fool when it doesn't pay off but your a genius when it does.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Reddan and McLaughlin on, somehow sort the setpiece.

I thought he helped it get there.

Bonnaire was lying all over the ball, then the ref gives a penalty against Leinster.
Leinster need to get moving forward. Reddan to come on soon hopefully.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,340 ✭✭✭sting60

    Well beaten .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,318 ✭✭✭Fishooks12

I wouldn't panic yet Leinster fans

Clermont will tire and the game loosing up will suit Leinster

Sextons been poor with his kicking from hand, 2 pointless Garryowens and a missed penalty to touch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,211 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster are lucky to only be 6 points behind.

Brock James is having a decent game with the boot but he is killing Clermont with his poor decision making.

  • Registered Users Posts: 503 ✭✭✭Brendan97

started watching and i couldn't believe my eyes, leinster are being picked apart
they need to pull themselves together at scrum time and they have to tighten their defence and stop stupid unforced errors

Leinster have to sort out their lineout. Thats the main concern.

Sexton's kicking from hand has been shocking.

Look on the bright side, they have alot of cards to play. I'd bring on McFadden because D'Arcy is not playing well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Leinster need to get their house in order. Scrum and lineout gotta be sorted out.

Sexton up and unders have been poor, gotta be better too.

Leinster have the wind second half so if they take advantage of it, they should pull through. They need a try in the first ten minutes of next half.

I actually don't have a clue what's going on at ruck time and who it's favouring because its so messy and Sky refuse to show the offences in replay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

Only 6 points down playing into that wind, still think we can do it. Need to sort out the lineout and start playing territory.

They didn't have an overlap and had it gone to hand Jennings would have been hit hard straight away by 2 Clermont defenders

it was a stupid pass, face it

Scrum under major pressure. Leinster need to stay in game in next 20 mins.

Why what do you disagree with? Sexton isn't kicking well put of hand, too long and restarts are pointless!

Strauss, Cullen and more not playing well!

Healy never got a bind, felt himself going down and put his hand on the ground.

  • Registered Users Posts: 124 ✭✭Banbridgeman

I have a feeling that Byrne's hand injury is a fake to make Leinster try more up and unders

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,795 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Big overeaction in here, Leinster are doing fine. Well in this game. Have the wind and will definitely up the intensity

Stuck streaming this in Dublin airport - can only really make out blurs. Set pieces look shocking. 6 point game though so still well in it.
