Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Accuweather's forecast predicts only a 7% chance of rain, after the race start at 2PM local time.

I'm making a point of watching this race every year - it's been among the most exciting races in past years. Bottas, the newbie, could be a bit of a wild card at the first few corners ...

Anyone else notice Eddie just completely blanked Chris Horner on the grid walk :D

Love the grid walk, good to know Michael Fassbender is a fan of F1 :)

Bring on the race, one of my favourites :D

Eddie Jordan's grid walks are a lot better than Brundle's.

Odd to start on super-softs? Surely with the green track and full fuel they'll burn out instantly?

First time watching a race with English commentating this season! Super first lap from Vettel already opening a big gap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

What a start! Alonso had a nice overtake

Mercs will bunch everyone up and now let Vettel run away.

Please tell me this isn't going to be yet another cruise to the chequered flag for Vettel :(

Kimi already a pitstop behind, Grosjean 18th, no pace in the Lotuses so far.

Massa moving nicely through the field.

I really hate how the drivers aren't pushing at all because of the tyres.

Massa looking super racy! Good to see from Felipe

I really hate how the drivers aren't pushing at all because of the tyres.

They've got the choice to push hard or conserve and it doesnt look like Massa in the midfield is holding back or Vettel at the front. teams just have to make their choices but with such a short pitlane and as many fresh tyres as they want there's gonna be a lot of drivers pushing hard today

Sutil with a damaged rear wing thanks to Pastor - wonder will he be able to finish the race?

Kimi in 8th is 37 seconds behind Vettel and even now he's out of traffic he looks slow as ****. 22 seconds cover the top 5, everyone else is more than a pitstop back. Tyres look to be going off now for just about everyone.

This is racing, some of the best action of the season so far.

Alonso is going to have a go at webber

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

Webber still behind a Merc, will anyone catch Vettel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,174 ✭✭✭Top Dog

And yet another penalty to add to the list for Pastor - drive-through for causing a collision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,576 ✭✭✭garv123

I love how close they come to the wall before the finish straight. The tire marks from rubbing off it make it even better :D

Lewis is in for a pitstop, How far ahead will Vettel go now

Hamilton's got some good tyre management skills there - making those Super Softs last several laps longer than most everyone else - but I don't think a 1-stop is on the cards for him. I want to see how long DiResta lasts on the Mediums.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that Lotus share anything more than an address with Renault/Benetton.
