They should call it 'Half ultra but not quite 3/4 marathon'

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,340 ✭✭✭TFBubendorfer

    We'll have a mini-ultra next.

Actually, I would have thought rounding it up slightly to 30km would have been more reasonable...

    I'm surprised they didn't follow precedent and call their 10K a mini-marathon :)

So, displaying calories on menus, nonsense or good sense ? Personally I think it's a bit much, but then again people around here aren't really the target of such measures.

I think the people it's meant to help don't care and the people who do look are already eating in moderation anyhow.

This was great, really well done. Some of the stuff during the gunfight was amazing. Those Boston PD lads are so committed its unreal.

Was a good documentary alright. I'd say the atmosphere at the race this year will be top class. A lot of people will be out on the streets who wouldn't normally support the marathon.

After the last couple of weeks of answering the door to a bunch of politician wannabes and various levels of engagement, based on my mood for an argument (I told one People Before Profit candidate that I agreed with the water charges and she pretty much ended up telling me to f. off :D), I have decided that none of them know anything. Therefore, while out for a run last night, I decided that I'd vote based on looks as it's pretty much all the election posters give you.
Based on that sample, there is an FF cutie in Dublin 4 that is sitting pretty on the top of my pole poll :D. There's also a duurty looking PBP candidate in Rathmines.

No doubt this bit will be left out of any other reporting on the research.
But he added: "Although endurance exercise training can have harmful effects on the heart, it is more than outweighed by the beneficial effects."

I'd got for it, just for the pretzels!

A quick search on Drinkstore.ie will give you the typical retail cost of some those beers, but at ~€2.50 a bottle, it doesn't sound too bad. A number of them would be more than that price (and that's without the pretzels!).

There were 40 about 10 minutes ago when I got the mail, down to 8 when I looked so I ordered them anyway. mmm beer...

I had a bottle of that last week in Ely. Tasty stuff indeed, if a bit pricey at 6 quid a bottle

Looks decent. Not a great deal but some nice beers. Some of those beers would be around €3.

Founders All Day IPA is beautiful.
