Might need to take up running sooner than I thought.........

Unfortunately, as a child, I had lots of (very) bad strep. throat infections which meant that my mother was always buying me ice cream. I had so much lovely and fancy ice cream during my childhood and teenage years that I'm not that mad about ice cream now. I think it's nice it but eat it rarely- I think I still see it as a medicinal thing! :o

Holy sh*t, google Ben & Jerry's Irish site and look at flavours, then look at the .com flavours!

They used to have a 'Black and Tan' flavour that was swiftly discontinued lol

Tried the dress, it was beautiful but just not right on me. Have a better idea of what suits me now though :)

I despise cookie dough in icecream, so gross. I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 17, they got infected, couldn't eat anything but icecream for 2 months of summer, that was a good two months :o

Boyfriend always says I look cutest when I'm wearing leggings, Uggs, one of his jumpers (he gives his lovely "old" ones to me, he works in a clothes shop so that happens every couple of weeks) and covered in icing sugar, apparently covered in icing sugar is my default setting when at home :o I'm not a messy worker I swears.

Lol my boyfriend is forever slagging me for wearing his clothes.

Honestly though his clothes are more comfy than mine, prob cause they are bigger and looser.

I got him a shirt for Xmas and he says I get more wear from it than he does. :o

My ex was 6ft 4 with size 15 shoes, his hoodies used to go down to my knees, his clothes were no fun! My boyfriend now is just a little taller than me, barely, so whenever he wrecks a jumper in the dryer and shrinks it or he gets sick of things he gives them to me, he wears so many lovely colours, it's great :)

jumpers/hoodies are great, remember once waking up to not find my ex in the bed, went downstairs and she was there cooking breakfast in a hoody of mine that barely covered her arse, and only wearing that and uggs .

we never got to eat the breakfast ;)

My bf is kinda slim and I'm not exactly small-chested so his t-shirts are no good, but I love wearing his hoodies. He likes me wearing my pjs when we're hanging around the house. I don't understand it, they're all years old and covered in hair dye stains

Yeah....I generally have leggings, 2 tops underneath and a pair of hiking socks or two pairs of socks on, my first thought when I read that was "I'd freeze!" :p And my boyfriend wouldn't come to see where I was gone, he'd probably just go straight to the computer to play WoW and think "Yes, she can't bother me while she's cooking"

Lads I'm actually crocked. I'll give ye a little rundown of everything that is wrong with me at this moment in time (this is an epic use of what this thread is for, skip ahead if you don't want to die of boredom!):

    My neck hurts.
My right elbow hurts and is so weak I can barely lift it.
    My right thumb hurts.
The burn on my left arm is peeling.
    My hands are freezing.
My chest hurts from my stupid bad breathing (don't ask)
My right side hurts (as always)
My lower back is agony, can't stand up straight.
My right heel is really fecking sore, plantar fasciitis Google tells me, random and sore.
The house is still freezing because even though we got oil the boiler is now airlocked so no heat til tomorrow.
I am broke, most expensive few months ever.
My mother isn't talking to me, it's been 3 days, that's a record.
My boyfriend is driving me mad this week, can't stand the sight of him, which is lucky because he has spent every waking hour that he's not in work on his PC. He goes on it before work, on his 30 min break, on his 1hr break, and as soon as he gets home, until at least midnight. Might as well be here alone.
I have a ton of work ahead of me tomorrow and Saturday.
    The house is a mess.
I am a big ball of misery.

    :(

Size fifteen? FIFTEEN?! My boyfriend is a size 7.5 or 8, depending on the shoe. He's 5'8.

One night I was over in my boyfriends house and was wearing his shirt and trackies around the house and I climbed into bed and forgot to take them off me, a while later he goes looking for his tracksuits, couldn't find them and looked straight at me lol.

Speaking of my bf, I'd love some cuddles from him now. :o:)

Yeah my boyfriend is 6'2 and size 13.. TK Maxx is usually the only place that he can find nice shoes in his size.

The Lovely Muffin now that you mention it I think the White chocolate and raspberry was a limited edition flavour last year... But I also have a feeling that I saw it in my local Tesco recently so you might be lucky!

That's a handy one to fix:
    1. Get adjustable spanner
    2. Loosen (just loosen, don't take off) the nut securing the oil pipe to the burner
    3. Press the reset button
    4. Allow air to squirt out (with a bit of a spray of oil)
    5. When air stops coming out (only oil spray), tighten nut
    6. Probably need to press the reset button again
    7. Boiler should fire up
    8. Leave heating on all night

Am I the only one who's boyfriend nicks their clothes
I used to work with games and have loads of promo tshirts for various launches (all in L or XL). I use them as pjs or to workout in. Every time the OH is around he ends up wandering off with one or sleeping in one.
Though I have stole more than my fair share of hoodies off him I suppose

Tried on a load of dresses in New Look today. Rather surprised to find that they all fit me nicely. Another lovely confidence boost. :) Bought one of them but will probably go back and buy another one of them if not 2. :o

Guess giving up chocolate for Lent is actually after resulting in a bit of weight loss. 16 days off choc which is pretty good considering how addicted I was and damn excellent since I’ve been so stressed and chocolate is my comfort food. :D

    http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/01/23/18-awareness/

An interesting fact about white people is that they firmly believe that all of the world’s problems can be solved through “awareness.” Meaning the process of making other people aware of problems, and then magically someone else like the government will fix it. This belief allows them to feel that sweet self-satisfaction without actually having to solve anything or face any difficult challenges. Because, the only challenge of raising awareness is people not being aware. In a worst case scenario, if you fail someone doesn’t know about the problem. End of story.
What makes this even more appealing for white people is that you can raise “awareness” through expensive dinners, parties, marathons, selling t-shirts, fashion shows, concerts, eating at restaurants and bracelets. In other words, white people just have to keep doing stuff they like, EXCEPT now they can feel better about making a difference.
Raising awareness is also awesome because once you raise awareness to an acceptable, aribtrary level, you can just back off and say “Bam! did my part. Now it’s your turn. Fix it.”

I'm glad your course is going well, I'm beginning to panic a bit. My main tutor (she's over three modules) doesn't seem to have any interest in teaching this course! I wouldn't care but she teaches the Child Development module which is seriously important! She hands us out photocopies of information that is already in our books! I have about 20 prints outs of the "physical milestones" All the information is the same it's just copied from different books :confused:

I had to learn myself how to do observations! If I didn't have the help of my supervisor in work I would be crying right now.

Also WHY does there always have to be a certain groups of bitchy girls in every course you do?

    *breath* :o Excuse the outburst!

About time! You were going to cancel it if they didn't have it shipped by today weren't you?

Finished college 3 hours earlier than I normally would! Tutor that I normally have for a triple in the afternoon was out sick and another tutor arranged to take us earlier, during our free, so I was finished at 12. Big smiles on all our faces heading out the door! :D

Got the chance to ask my course co-ordinator for a reference. Local playschool might need extra staff soon so I’m going to send them the aul CV and a few references, just for a paper trail. Probably won’t get a job out of it but I might get a few days here and there and sure the more experience I have in different settings, the better my CV will look! :)

Quite pleased with myself atm! The sun is shining and the birds are chirping in the trees. Going to have some lunch and then bring my gorgeous doggy for a walkies and make the most out of the weather.

Hope everyone else is having a good Friday too. :)

"my facebook picture is pink to raise awareness for breast cancer, I've never donated a penny to research or done anything to aid an organisation, but I clicked a button on facebook, I'm doing my part!"

and if you point this out to people you get the "ohh at least I'm doing something" NO YOU'RE NOT! you only get the smug sense of satisfaction from it, the people who really do charity work dont need facebook statuses and youtube shares to validate their work.

I have one of my tutors for 4 modules and she is honestly the most scattered person EVER! What book are ye using? Is it 'Child Care and Development' by Pamela Minett? If not I would try and get my hands on it because it's a very good book. Think i saw it on the book depository for about 20 euro. If you're alright with giving me your address I could photocopy some of my notes and post them off to you. My tutor for Child Development is the course co-ordinator and is very thorough and organised so I've pretty good notes from her. :)

Glad you're supervisor is willing to help. Maybe she has a few books in the setting that might help aswell? :)

Don't talk to me about bitchy girls! Until a couple of weeks ago I thought everyone in my course was lovely and everyone got on well together. Nah. Got quite a shock when I overheard some of them one day. Thought when I left school I had left all that shít behind but I guess some people never grow up!

Edit: Just checked. The book is 20.64 on thebookdepository.co.uk with free delivery. If you are thinking of going on to Level 6 it would be a great book for a good foundation to it.

and if you point this out to people you get the "ohh at least I'm doing something" NO YOU'RE NOT! you only get the smug sense of satisfaction from it, the people who really do charity work dont need facebook statuses and youtube shares to validate their work.

Having a good holiday, eh? :P
