There's an Amy Winehouse tribute called Lioness in the Everyman on the 20th of May, tickets are €26.
I saw them in Dublin last year and they were fantastic, good night out for any fan of Amy's music. I'm not usually a tribute band kind of person but they really were brilliant.

*** Amazing news: Tom Campbell has confirmed he will be performing a brand new, never seen before performance at our launch event Sunday 29th ***
We'll keep you posted on all other developments here.

Cork is full of a vibrant sense of community, with an abundance of progressive, creative, talented people across various fields - from activists to musicians, artists and beyond. However, since the closure of Solidarity Books in 2015, the city has been without an autonomous space where people can meet, organise and hold events. We have established Rebel Reads to create a new community hub where independent and progressive groups can meet, work together, share resources, organise fun events, have days of action or simply socialise. It will be an autonomous space for organising, educating and community building centred around a bookshop, cultural activities and campaigning in Cork city. Work has been going on for many months to set up the initial structures of an inclusive, non-hierarchical organisation that can bring this new space into being. The name change, is the just the beginning – watch this space for more updates.
