Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They're "fools" for having an opinion that this is a grossly unfair tax as well?

Everyone doesn't want to pay taxes or charges, fact is this attitude will lead to our country been fecked further.

OAPs will have to spend €2 less on their lottery scratch cards every Friday as a result of this charge. A disgrace !

I wonder will they refund the few that have paid if they end up having to scrap this whole thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,306 ✭✭✭sonic85

asking these wealthy fcukers have they paid the charge. of course they have - theyre all earning hundreds of thousands a year. its easy for the likes of power to say yeah ive paid it since january. give me an extra 20 or 30 grand a year and ill pay it too no bother. DLB is such a cunt

Most people can afford to pay. But it's unfair, that's why they're refusing.

So you think it's fair that Michael O'Leary will pay the same amount of money as somebody who is struggling to pay their mortgage?

This is for this year. from next year it will be based on the value of your home. but probably will be 100e for the lowest end anyway!

It's not because they claim it's unfair, they said themselves they're paid a decent wage but claim they can't afford €100 ? Did they stretch themselves thin enough when changing house a fee years back?

I paid it this week too, could not handle thought of paying a fine. Got paid this morning. Now am broke til next pay day(paid monthly:mad:)
I believe in local amenities and dont mind supporting them, but am sickened by the wanton waste of money in the likes of the HSE and in local councils.
It sickening that we have to fundraise to support our kids education through local schools both playschool and national schools. Not to mention the health system.

Husband has just found I paid it this week. Not good
