Yes just to clarify as i spoke to Fran on this , Ladbrokes have packages reserved for online Qualifiers and must hold onto these for Qualifiers as they have committed to 150 seats .Players at the moment may only purchase seats for the main event on Ladbrokes. Ladbrokes have purchased the packages for online qualifiers only .

If u have any issues with regards Accomodation or the event you can contact me direct on 087 28 333 43 or at cueclub@eircom.net and if i can not resolve the problem i will put u in contact with the correct person who can .

    Note to all Players:

Decision made today after a meeting with all parties of the event that the event is to be capped at 650 players only . At the present moment Ladbrokes have taken 150 seats from this and the offline events we know have over 150 seats now reserved.Big Slick and the Cue Club also have 40 seats reserved for the super sat.

This Brings us up to 350 seats gone for the main event at present . We now strongly advise that seats are purchased to avoid any dissappointment . If we hit our max capacity the prizepool will stand at a massive €325,000 for the main event.

Players must Register online prior to the event and registration will close online at midnight September 28th.

If the capacity is 800 as you already said why is it being restricted to 650 players

The tables are now seated 9 handed dave at all times instead of the previously planned 10 players per tables. Ladbrokes and all parties agreed that the cap is in place. The 800 was absolute max capacity on the gaming floor and we feel now with this floor plan players will be more comfortable and we can work the room alot easier .

actually tried to book hotel and Gleneagle sold out pffft load of cock

We have been warning people all along to book the hotel early as it would sell out. I'll be in touch with the girl looking after the poker bookings today and I'll find out the exact scenario as regards room availability. I was at a meeting earlier in the week and was told that Ladbrokes had 150 rooms taken for online qualifiers and that there was another 150 rooms sold to the public, and all them rooms were poker related. So that tells us that another 150 people(at least) have booked rooms in the hotel for the poker, but haven't registered for the tourney yet.(I'm awaiting a list because some of them rooms are more than likely twins or triples so theres obviously more that 1 poker player to a room).

The Glen Eagle hotel have another hotel, The Brehon Hotel, built in its grounds and this hotel is also being kept solely for the poker public along with the riverside appartments, also on hotel grounds. If you'd like my advice Fran, I'd book the Brehon if I was you. Its a 3 year old 5 star hotel that trades as a 4 star for commercial reasons, and is one of the nicest hotels I've ever been in. Literally, 1--2 mins walk to the National Events Centre where the poker is on.

question, I was planning on satelliting into this, and worst case scenario having to pay in. have accom booked. does this mean I now have to pay in full for the tourney now online to guarantee a seat?? What happens if I win a seat in a sat between then and now? is my money refundable? how about a super sat ticket? Surely ur going to end up with spare seats because people will book their seat then win one of the satellite seats and they are already prebooked. couldnt u seriously lower your numbers doing it this way? As in they wont use both seats, but u have it reserved and people cant buy in on the day????

    Hi there,
If you pre-register into the event and then go on to win a sattellite ticket, obviously your not going to be left holding 2 tickets. In off line sattellites, it will be pretty easy to control this. I've sent an email off to Ladbrokes to confirm how payment for the "2nd" ticket thats won through an online satellite would be returned. I'll post here as soon as I have the details.

As regards the super satt, we intend to reserve enough tickets to service the super-satt. If as you say, people win tickets in the super satt that have already pre-registered their seat, (and I expect some will), then we'll still be able to move them tickets by way of stt's late on Thursday night or early on Friday.)

Hope that helps, if you've any more queries, post them up and I'll my best to answer them.

I thought it was alright. The Daily final last night was excruciatingly long though. Still, won a seat in the weekly final so happy days. Fingers crossed for Monday now. Cheap seats FTW!

Just to confirm that Ladbrokes have been back to me to confirm that any player winning a satt on line with them, that results in that player having 2 seats for the main event, will have his seat value transferred into his account.

    Hi Mellor,
I presume you mean can you keep playing online satts for the cash value as in if you win a ticket online at Ladbrokes, can you play the other online satts on Ladbrokes and cash out one of the seats if you win a second one? If thats the question, I'll get back to you with a definate answer within a couple of days.

If your question is regards to off-line satts, then of course the answer is yes. If you already hold a seat and say you win another one at our super satt, of course we will give give you the monetary value of it.

There are still rooms available in both the Glen Eagle and the Brehon. I think whats happening is the hotel is totally blocked off for the poker event and somebodys getting mixed up somewhere. I'm on the phone as we speak to Norma, the girl whos looking after the bookings for the event. If you have any further problems, either pm me here or ring me on 087-2833343

    Hi,
The best hotel standard wise is The Brehon, but the Glen eagle hotel itself is a fine hotel in its own right. If you want to pay in cash, you can do so by sending it to Neil Kelly in Blazing aces card club waterford or to me in the Cue Club,Hilliards lane,High St, Killarney. We will then forward it to Ladbrokes to register you for the event.

Its impossible to say at the moment exactly how many players, but this is what I know:

Ladbrokes are qualifying 150 players, and they tell us that 70% of their qualifiers are bringing a poker playing buddy, so thats approx 250 players.

We intend having 150 players (at a minimum) qualify through off-line satts so add that to the ladbrokes 250 and we're up to 400.

Now, the Glen eagle hotel have 150 rooms and 30 appartments booked specifically for the poker weekend, seperate to Ladbrokes room bookings. None of these people who have booked rooms have entered into the event yet. How many players are gonna be in each room? If by some miracle, all of these people decided to pay their entry fee tomorrow, I'd say we'd be getting very close to our 650 cap.(and I havent counted the super satt tickets nor local players in any of the above figures).

I was at The Macau festival over the week-end and virtually everybody I spoke to is planning on playing the Ladbrokes event. I told them all what I'm telling you here, we cant take names without people officially entering.

So my advice to players is to enter on line at Ladbokerspoker.com or into either of the 2 clubs as outlined above. If your paying by bankdraught or cheque, make sure its made out to ladbrokes.

If I can be of any further help, either post here, pm me or ring me on 087-2833343.

    lol yeah, that was me

i knew you were tight, but due to stacks sizes, once you pushed I was calling any two cards that I raised with. (Which is a huge range i'll admit)

I jsut think that you go out more often with A10 there, than if you fold and wait for one of the shorties to bust
